Street Fighter stinks. One of the most frustrating moviegoing experiences of 2026. For all of its flaws (and there are an overwhelming amount), I was willing to look past all the BS if they simply delivered a complete film. The script is terrible, characters are misrepresented, the humor is juvenile and the needle drops are Suicide Squad 2016 levels of bad. Yet despite all of that, there is entertainment to be had in short bursts and the fights are done well enough. But unfortunately, the film commits a cardinal sin. There there is no proper conclusion and ends on a cliffhanger; teasing a sequel that we will never get. The nerve of these studios punting what audiences actually want to see to the next film has to fucking stop. Make a movie that has a beginning, a middle and an end; you know, a real movie? This isn’t rocket science and I don’t understand why these executives continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. Streets Fighter has its moments but they are buried under a mountain of glaring flaws that ultimately sink the ship. Mortal Kombat II this is not. You Lose. ⭐️⭐️
