@1juxa You may vehemently disagree with @RasSonderriis, but that's no reason to conclude that he's being paid. Do you have any evidence of that? I vehemently disagree with Rasmus about many things, but I've got no reason to imagine that he's being paid. He wrote a good book, "Getting Ethiopia Dead Wrong," in which he analyzed and documented dominant media deceptions during the 2020-2022 Northern Ethiopian Conflict, and I agree with most everything he said there. Not all of it, but most of it. If you read it, I think you'd agree with most of it too. At the same time, he said that those media deceptions had shaken his faith in Western institutions to the core, but later he said he'd recovered it. I long ago lost faith in those institutions, most of all in the way they are used to dominate Africa and the rest of the Global South, but that's no reason for me to conclude, without evidence, that he's being paid. When we disagree, even adamantly, I just think he's wrong. If I thought he was being paid, I wouldn't bother talking to him at all.

At the end of their op-ed here, the editorial board of @TheGuardian invites readers to submit 300-word responses for possible publication as "Letters to the Editor."
