Something from Book of the New Sun I think about a lot: In book 1 Severian's face is torn by a blade. Many books later he's healed by a *PROCESS* & then 30 seconds later it's torn in the exact same spot. One of the smallest things to break my brain in those brain breaking books
This is a long shot but I saw a brush for Clip Studio Paint that was a radial sparkle that I want to find again. There was a video attached showing how it worked, they made a series of magical circles with it. The shines were rainbow and it looked VERY loosely like this
