We just learned Canton PD was served a federal subpoena in May of 2023 related to the Karen Read case. Which is likely why the Canton Select Board fought so hard against the police audit later that fall, and looked very worried after losing the vote...as seen in this image. This is the opposite of transparency.

Just spoke to Chief Donna McNamara who stands in line with the public. She is humbled by the public support.
I asked if she is concerned that the Ed Davis investigation is a little too "fox guarding the henhouse". She said "No"...not until the Select Board announced publicy they will "review" a draft of the report due out soon.

Judge Denise Casper hearing before jury is in the box:
Government closing first: 75 minutes
Followed by midmorning break
Defense closing = could be 90 minutes, asking judge to give them a 15 minute warning
Govt. rebuttal
Case will go to the jury with a later lunch
Deliberating jury go off, Judge Casper will sequester four alternates. There are currently 10 men and 6 women on the jury.
Casper is an impressive jurist, appearing to be very focused on representing the jury in this case, who will begin deliberating Farwell's fate today

Newly elected DA @djunaperkins…
quick question for you…is it weird for a “normal mom” to make demands to a sitting DA? If you could look into this I would greatly appreciate it!

Canton does not have the best track record of being honest. 2 years ago I had several calls and texts with chief Helena and not long after, someone foia requested any calls or texts and the town came back with nothing responsive....yet I still have the phone bill and screenshots. What's the chances they held stuff back?

When I was in high school (maybe 1993), my friend had people over his parent’s house. Jen (Weeks) McCabe was there.
I witnessed her call 911 and hold the phone up (it was a landline) and told people to scream into it. She then hung up and laughed.
Shortly afterwards, CPD showed up with their flashlights beaming and their guns drawn. It was an appropriate response based on what had occurred.
Once they established there was no immediate danger, everyone without a car had to call their parents to pick them up.
Jen (Weeks) McCabe was allowed to leave in her friend’s car. She got special treatment even though it was her that caused the disturbance.
The reason I know she was allowed to leave, is I was allowed to leave with her.
