How can Washington have clarity and confidence in the future when our legislature meddles with our constitutional protections? Cynical gamesmanship at every level has compromised our faith in their ability to govern completely. Get out and vote Republican this cycle and help them bring balance back to Washington state legislature. Vote for Eric W. Pratt if you are in legislative district 24.

As we come to a close on election day 2026, I want to thank everyone who has taken the opportunity to get their ballots in. Regarding my campaign: After the final forums, a project came online has been taking up a great deal of time. Still connecting with community in many ways and looking forward to continuing the work to change Olympia for the benefit of Washington's future. We will do this together Washington!

We can do better Washington. Just powers belong to the governed. A cynical play to undermine the initiative process perhaps?
This is a follow-up to our earlier post about the Public Disclosure Commission waiving a state law passed by the legislature, a move that lets special interests take the lid off how much they can spend to mislead you. At the time, we didn’t know who requested that waiver. Now we do. SEIU has put a total of $400,000 into a two-pronged attack on the income tax and on our Supreme Court candidates. On October 26, SEIU gave $150,000 to the campaign opposing I-645 (the income tax) and $250,000 to the committee attacking your judicial candidates, Beware the Attack on Our Courts. Under state law, SEIU could only have given $75,000 to each, for a total of $150,000. That’s not a small amount. Instead, the PDC handed Beware the Attack on Our Courts the ability to take an extra $250,000, a windfall granted in violation of state law. Yes, in Washington some people are more equal than others. The Supreme Court candidates targeted by this money can still only collect $2,400 per person, and only through their own committees. The PDC says it made this move in the name of “fairness.” As a reminder, Merriam-Webster defines “fairness” as “the quality or state of being fair” and “lack of favoritism toward one side or another.”

The Pdc enforcment decision should trouble everyone. More reason to mistrust those jerking the levers of power. We'll see what transpires and go from there.
The forces spreading lies about Judge Larson and other judicial candidates are giving you a front-row seat to what buying a Supreme Court looks like. State law adopted by the legislature, not a rule created by the Public Disclosure Commission, limits large contributions in the final weeks before an election. However, just 9 days before the election, the Public Disclosure Commission chose to ignore that law to allow groups like Beware the Attack on Our Courts to get large checks from donors to flood voters with more misinformation about Dave. It's ironic in a judicial race that the PDC chose to ignore the law. Meanwhile, Dave can't raise a dime himself. He can only raise money through his committee, which can't accept more than $2,400 per person. They should have called it Beware the Attack on the Law. They accuse others of breaking the law while they break it and accuse others of trying to stack the Court when they're the ones trying to stack it. If this PAC accepts contributions in violation of state law, it proves they don't care about the law or the truth, and that they believe they can own our courts. They've already broken spending records because it's that important to them. Judicial races are usually so quiet that voters rarely get a real choice. They never expected anyone to push back, and Dave's open letter exposed their agenda. Somebody is desperate for a win. Every dollar they take outside the law is proof we're making a difference. Read Judge Larson's open letter and share it far and wide. It's the evidence they're hoping their money can drown out: larsonforjustice.com/open-le… They'll outspend us, but we can outwork them — and outnumber them. Money talks, but it doesn't vote. PS: This is the same Public Disclosure Commission that found Judge Larson’s campaign in violation of PDC Rules because his yard sign disclaimers were 0.175” (7/40”) too small. The PDC cared about myopic voters not seeing Dave's disclaimer, but their own vision of the law on funding limitations would be better if they didn't look the other way as the law is violated.

How about ending the war on the future of Washington state? just across the state borders and within the reservations we see much lower prices. Turns out that where Washington state cant tax, life is more affordable.
Diesel hit $7.99 in North Bonneville. It’s time to end the war in Iran.

Re: The Income Tax Olympia got hooked on federal money stream during covid. Their friends got fat. Special interests appetite for the revenue is insatiable. Thats all this is. Inflated general fund due to hungry special interests. We will now pay for their power games.

Should we be concerned that the state will treat other rights in similar disregard? For instance: "Yes we have to fund education... but we are currently administratively backlogged. It may rake a few years." "Due process? we are experiencing high volumes." "Vote counting? currently unable to count them all in time, sorry."
The response I got from Washington State Patrol regarding my concerns with their delay. Essentially: We are just to busy to allow you to exercise your rights and we are waiting on other states administrative process that are out of our control. Interesting perspective from authority. @2AFDN @GunWashington

Recently sat in forum where the other guy defended his vote in creating this authority to tax us all. This is transformative to the many schemes and structures of Washington state. They will continue to demand dividends from a future they actively undermine.
If you are trying to shove an income tax down the throats of voters but they have rejected it 10 times already what do you do? You force through an income tax that is blatantly unconstitutional. WA State constitution says a tax may not be over 1% and it must apply to everyone equally. Why? Your strategy is to send it to a hand picked/appointed Supreme Court where you believe the constitution can be changed with out a vote of the people. Then: 1) You use taxpayer money to make sure it cannot be repealed by referendum by inserting an emergency clause even though it doesn’t go into effect for 3 years 2) you force the voters to spend their own private money to get an initiative on the ballot 3) You push them into the initiative process because it is much more confusing language and a process where voters must vote yes in order to vote no (just to be clear vote yes!) 4) You pass a law that requires a statement on the ballot itself with no counter point allowed that makes the claim that the initiative would cut K-12 funding no matter where the money would go or when it would come in EVEN THOUGH no initiative can cut funding for K-12 by law 5) You vilify public citizens for getting involved while You hide behind the enormous tax free cash piles of the public unions who will gain the biggest benefit from the income tax — as they run false attack ads with unlimited funds 6) You lie to the public about the broad intent and design of the income tax to hit everyone not just those making over a million 7) You keep a secret from public employees that their once protected pensions have had that protection removed by the income tax..and you can’t or rather won’t explain why the protection was removed Yet with all that stacked on your side, if voters hear that the income tax is actually an income tax they still don’t like you.., Vote Yes I-645 to Repeal the Unconstitutional Income tax

As of 10/22, WA has a statewide turnout of 12.45%. Last midterm with 12 days to go, we were at 11.01% turnout. We are +112,431 ballots. I've set up an easy spreadsheet and will share more turnout updates after 5pm on weekdays, when the new data is available from SOS. Thank you!

I had the opportunity to converse at length with Dave Larson. After chatting about our homeless and additiction problems, I was thoroughly impressed with how much he obviously cared about people. he has my vote of course!

Sen. Chapman and @VietQNguyen on the Income Tax legislation. Seems the opinion here is that the newest tribe of legislators will be so spend happy in increasing social programs that they will tax wherever they can. a sobering read if you are concerned with economics. peninsuladailynews.com/2026/…

Sen. Chapman's positions today remind me of the importance of robust Constitutional protections and their stewardship. A legislator that openly abandons those protections for the will of the majority is clearly the reason those hard point protections exist. Astonoishing and sad to see such disregard exchanged for political power.
Senator Mike Chapman going full throttle into the Income tax. Basically using emotion to argue the issue. @VietQNguyen holding the line and representing fiscal responsibility and constitutional protections.

I plan on attending as well! Hopefully seen you all there.
Grays Harbor GOP is hosting a town hall-style forum for endorsed and recommended candidates Tuesday evening at the Rotary Log Pavilion in Aberdeen. GHGOP did one of these a few months ago, before the primary election in August and that one went very well--much more about policy than politics. This one should be the same. The focus will again be on county candidates. But state and federal candidates will be there, too. And, as before, I'll be happy to answer questions on statewide issues like the 3 initiatives and the State Supreme Court candidates on the current ballot.

A chance to significantly change the direction of our State Supreme Court and perhaps our last chance before we drive off the cliff of insanity. Vote like your state depends on it Washington, because it does.
