Using Twitter as a place for machine learning to copy me before the singularity... I'm not really talking to y'all. RTs = food for thought.

Uphold international law, it's that fuckin simple. This was literally all Kamala Harris had to say [on this matter] and I feel confident she would've won. Any Dem can say this confidently and have it be an objectively true statement if we supposedly "value the rule of law".
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points. (clip via @DropSiteNews)

Gloria Steinem’s brand of corporate feminism was always a perfect fit for the Western imperialist project. Bourgeois identity politics that neatly commodified women’s liberation while systematically erasing the only thing that matters to poor women around the globe. Her CIA ties should be the headline of every obituary because they were the logical extension of a worldview that saw the Global South as a testing ground for social engineering and real blue collar women on the picket line as an embarrassment to her elite friends on the cocktail-party scene. By reducing patriarchy to a problem of individual advancement and media representation, she provided ideological cover for neoliberal capitalism’s assault on the working class. Her work cheered women into boardrooms, Amazon warehouses, global South sweat shops alike, as long as the real engine of history, the collective power of labour, remained broken the gravy train for the billionaire class could roll on. In death, as in life, her legacy is not sisterhood, but a stern, well-manicured finger wagging in the mirror back at herself for betraying poor working Women across the globe.

Hey, @claudeai. Having some trouble with a login. The help center doesn't seem to have an answer. Can we connect and trouble shoot this?

s/o to @TimesUnion for saying plainly: "...if officials are looking to scale back its mandates to grease their political prospects in an election year, that’s not leadership; it’s a craven retreat." #DefendTheCLCPA Read: Kicking the climate can timesunion.com/opinion/artic…

Replying to @GovKathyHochul
@GovKathyHochul has used the suit to pressure the legislature to gut the CLCPA - an enacted law - behind closed doors. And @AndreaSCousins @NYSenDems #CarlHeastie and @NYSA_Majority shouldn't be bullied.
Thanks to Gov Hochul, here’s NY’s “democracy”: ➡️Governor slow walks or do not enforce laws that could hurt donors’ pockets. ➡️ Advocates sue so governor do their jobs and enforce the laws. ➡️ Instead of complying with court orders, governor use budget to change the laws.

@GovKathyHochul took office and promised a new era of transparency but wants to make sweeping changes to the CLCPA with no public process after years of public engagement on the law. That ain't right!

As a rep. of one of the plaintiffs, @citizenactionny, and an attorney, I can say that the Governor’s claim is flat out false. The lower court’s decision in our favor is stayed bc of the state’s appeal. Nothing requires the Gov & the legis to modify the climate law this session.
Gov. Hochul today directly blamed climate activists and their lawsuit over cap-and-invest for her current push to roll back the CLCPA. "We are forced to because of advocates who took us to court... Now I have no alternative but to change the law or be in violation of the law"

Thanks For your leadership @SenatorHarckham! @GovKathyHochul's rollbacks won't lower bills or protect NYers from volatile energy price spikes from cold snaps and the Iran War. Weakening the CLCPA just sends a msg that any gov can skirt the legislature and the law!
We cannot accept a complete rollback of our climate laws. Tweaks to the policies are one thing, but abandoning these policies altogether would be a mistake. The lungs and wallets of NYers are counting on a clean energy transition.

We have a warmonger in the White House, oil prices are above $100 a barrel for the first time in years, and things are almost certain to get worse before they get better. Tell me again that fossil fuels are the stable, affordable option, please. wsj.com/world/middle-east/pe…

Need more demographic breakdown of this data but suspecting white women are the driver of this split. Begs the question of the appeal of a candidate like Trump who (at least as an individual) so practically contradicts the economic, political & social realities of these voters.

Literally all she had to do to have an ounce of credibility to stand on was invoke and commit to uphold international law with respect to the current conflict. She never did. It makes her as much a war criminal as the rest. She's just not a wannabe Nazi
