#WATCH | Delhi: On India's 5G growth, Global CEO of Ericsson, Andrés Vicente, says, "India is a front-runner today in the digital economy, and that is possible because India has made a huge investment in deploying 5G...India is ready to introduce differentiated connectivity—that is, more advanced network performance and more possibilities for new use cases like autonomous networks, autonomous transportation, physical AI, robotics, and humanoids. So India is ready for the next wave...we have three different centres for R&D in India: Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon...India is one of the key markets."

@OkuloAerospace has been named among the winners of the @EricssonIndia Innovation Challenge, organised by @ericsson in partnership with @TiEDelhi and @ianetwork (Indian Angel Network). Out of 800+ applications across India, we made the Top 20 and were chosen as one of just 6 teams to showcase our technology. The nationwide initiative was designed to back 5G-powered technologies tackling critical societal challenges, and we brought one single focus to the stage: rural connectivity. Over 500 million Indians are still offline. Ground-based telecom towers reach about 3.5 to 10 km, the signal weakens at the edges and after the Tripura floods, telecom recovery was delayed by five days. Our answer is a High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (#HAPS): a solar-powered aircraft flying at 20 km to act as an aerial tower. Operating alongside ground and satellite networks, it targets 3,800 km² of direct-to-phone 5G coverage with under 10 ms latency. This builds on flight-proven hardware we have already certified and flown: #SUVI, India's first @DGCAIndia Type Certified solar-electric #UAV and HINET, our military VTOL built under the @SpokespersonMoD, India's iDEX program. Next, we are looking for partners to run a 5G-enabled HAPS pilot in an underserved rural corridor. Telecom operators, public-sector partners and collaborators, write to us at: [email protected]. The measure of a secure network is shifting from how well it keeps threats out to how little a breach can touch. At #IMC2026, Jagdeep Walia outlined what that demands of network slicing and network functions: a controlled blast radius at every shared point. #EricssonAtIMC

Securing a network that never switches off calls for more than checkpoints. At #IMC2026, Jagdeep Walia shared his insights on holistic visibility and continuous monitoring, giving operators a real-time view of their security posture as zero trust matures. #EricssonAtIMC

Zero trust is not new to telecom; it is built into the 5G core. At #IMC2026, Jagdeep Walia explained how the service-based architecture requires every network function to authenticate before communicating, replacing the implicit trust of the 4G era. #EricssonAtIMC

As AI reshapes cybersecurity, resilience must be built into software from the start, with security guardrails and human expertise at its core. Elena Fresmen shares her perspective on building more resilient systems at #IMC2026. #EricssonAtIMC
