I'm a decade late to this book, which, given the subject, matters a lot, but it was still magnificent. A beauitful piece of writing, and penetrating insight into our situation. Highly recommended.
I preached this sermon in the week before the terrible events at Bondi. Though it feels a little odd to see it now on this side, the message is the same. Merry Christmas.

Nice to see this come out! An attempt to think theologically about what freedom of speech actually is.

This interview by @DouthatNYT is so interesting. So interesting to see how the prominence of one moral question – should a parent seek to avoid so and so conditions if they can – drowns out everything else. nytimes.com/2025/08/07/opini…
Although there is some slightly irritating back and forth, it's well worth it for the last five minutes.
This week's episode of Interesting Times is a conversation about the UFO phenomenon (whatever it may be) with Diana Walsh Pasulka:

My sixth sermon on Psalm 119, for anyone interested. The sixth stanza led to a reflection on the nature of Christian confidence in the future.
