.@NovaRockafeller It's Made In Gold Monday!
For the thirteenth installment of MIGM on the cover of “Iconic”, is a totally epic portraitI photographed of professional inline skater Ray Mendez crushing it on the very ramp.
This portrait is very special to me. I captured it what I was on tour as the official photographer for the NISS tour AND it was on the cover of Global Skate Magazine, an internationally published inline skate magazine. I have the autographed copy in my vault at EPHQ.
Iconic is a new self-published magazine I’m featuring powerful, provocative, eternal and luscious photography.
And I chose an epic anthem to go with today’s message too, “Made in Gold” by Nova Rockafeller - Https://youtube.com/watch?v=….
I LOVE IT!
Time to go after your dreams and goals. You're not getting any younger; if you don't go after your dreams, someone else will make you go after theirs.

Your origin may explain you.
It does not have to define you.
In Christ, identity is received from God—not inherited from circumstance.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God… Which were born, not of blood… but of God.”
— John 1:12–13, KJV

I struggle with this every day.
King David made some great decisions, but he also made some terrible ones.
During his reign, David chose to abuse his power by sleeping with the wife of one of his military leaders, and then arranging for him to be pushed to the front lines of battle—where he was killed. For someone who was considered “a man after God’s own heart,” David really messed up.
In 2 Samuel 12:13, we see David confess his sin against the Lord and in Psalm 51, we see his prayer to be made new:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10 ESV
David failed, but God redeems. God restores. David still had to face the consequences of his decisions, but in that journey, God met him there.
If you want to be made new by God but believe that your past is too messed up, you can follow the path David showed us—confess, repent, and ask God to make you new. You can even use David’s exact words as you pray: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
When we seek God, we realize that He’s already been seeking us.
God is faithful. He loves you. He can make your heart clean. In Him, you can become a new creation.

Get ready.
You wouldn’t enter surgery, a fire, or a battle unprotected. Yet every day, we face battles we can’t fully see.

FAST & FURIOUS FAITH FRIDAY 🏁✝️
“Life moves pretty fast.” — Ferris Bueller
Jesus said, “one thing is needed.” — Luke 10:42
If life is moving too fast for Jesus, it’s moving too fast.
Don’t floor it past the One who gave you the road.

Mastery isn’t a finish line. It’s repetition.
Practice the craft. Refine the eye. See differently. Keep going long after the applause fades.
Talent may open the door. Discipline keeps you in the room.
It’s not just what I do. It’s who I am.

Trust in God is the foundation of a life filled with hope and purpose.
It means surrendering your fears and anxieties to Him, knowing that He has a plan for you that is greater than anything you can imagine.
That does not mean life suddenly becomes easy. It does not mean every question gets answered, every door opens, or every difficult season disappears.
It means you stop believing that everything depends on you.
When you trust in God, you open yourself up to His guidance and love. You allow His light to shine through you even in the darkest times. You begin to understand that uncertainty does not mean He is absent, silence does not mean He has forgotten you, and difficulty does not mean you have been abandoned.
Sometimes trusting God means moving forward when you cannot see what is ahead.
Sometimes it means standing still when everything in you wants to run.
Sometimes it means releasing the outcome you desperately want and believing that His wisdom is greater than your own.
Trust is not having all the answers.
It is believing that God does.
It is waking up in the middle of the mess and deciding that fear will not have the final word.
It is looking at what you cannot control and saying, “God, I give this to You.”
Because no matter how dark the season becomes, you are never walking through it alone.
His grace is still there.
His love is still there.
His purpose is still there.
And when your own strength runs out, His does not.
Trust Him.
Not because you understand everything.
But because He sees what you cannot see, knows what you do not know, and can carry what you were never meant to carry alone.
His grace will carry you through.

You need God.
There. I said it.
And I’m not saying that from some mountaintop where I have everything figured out. I’m saying it because I know I didn’t get here without Him.
I have needed God every step of the way.
Through the victories.
Through the failures.
Through the prayers that were answered.
Through the seasons when I couldn’t understand what He was doing at all.
If it weren’t for God, I wouldn’t be standing here today.
So stop being ashamed of needing Him.
Stop worrying about who is watching.
Stop pretending you can carry everything yourself.
Find somewhere quiet today. Shut out the noise. Put down the phone. Forget about looking polished, strong, successful or put together.
And talk to God.
No performance.
No religious vocabulary required.
No perfect prayer.
Just tell Him the truth:
“God, I need You. I need some help.”
Sometimes the most powerful prayer isn’t complicated.
Sometimes it’s simply admitting that we were never meant to do this without Him.
God, I need You.

Before photographing Brooke & Eric’s Minneapolis wedding today, this was on my mind:
Life is geometry.
Lines intersect. Directions change. Angles sharpen. Plans break.
Yet Jesus remains the cornerstone.
And when everything feels out of alignment:
“In Him all things hold together.” — Colossians 1:17
Today, I get to photograph what happens when two lives intersect.
