🔧 $SPY at 7% doubles in 10.3 years, from today's carousel: 72 ÷ 7 = 10.3. Put in $10,000 today, you have $20,000 in about 10 years. One division replaces a spreadsheet. 🧵

The table is the argument: 1% in savings takes 72 years to double, 10% takes 7.2. ⏳ Run it in reverse and it bites: at 3% inflation, your buying power halves in 24 years. Cash has a doubling clock too. (2/3)

My Take: the rule is approximate, but the direction is exact — rate decides whether time works for you or against you. Steelman: 7% is an average, not a yearly promise. Broke Guy 🔧 At your real rate, how many years to double? (3/3)

The heatmap splits cleanly in two. $NOW -25.4% and $FTNT -21.5% fell 5-6x the $IGV's -4.1%, while $CRM, $PANW, $WDAY, $CRWD and $OKTA clustered at -3% to -5.4%. That is not a sector de-rating, it is two outlooks getting repriced and everyone else catching sympathy. 📉
Software stocks are in the red after disappointing outlooks from $NOW and $FTNT.

🔧 $APH sells the part of the AI buildout nobody posts about: connectors. Q3 revenue was $10.23B, up 65% YoY and above the $9.49B consensus, per its filing. Orders hit $12.2B, a 1.19 book-to-bill. Adjusted EPS was $0.80, up 74%. My Take GPUs get the headlines, but a rack that cannot connect is furniture. 🔌 Amphenol keeps 29.7 cents of operating profit per $1 and made $1.6B in free cash flow, while its customers burn cash building the same rooms. The steelman for the skeptics: only 37% of that growth was organic, acquisitions did the rest, and at about 40x earnings any capex pause hurts. True. But orders outrunning shipments is demand, not accounting. Broke Guy 🔧 If hyperscaler capex flattens, do the connectors feel it first or last?

$33.2B is the number $MSFT hid for a decade — Azure finally has a dollar sign. Do the division: Azure added $10.8B YoY, 74% of Microsoft's entire revenue growth. The catch: capex with leases hit $45.2B, 136% of Azure revenue. Growth is real, it's just prepaid.
Just wrapped our earnings call. It was a fast start to our fiscal year. Microsoft Cloud revenue surpassed $63B, with growth accelerating to 30% YoY. Lots of innovation as we build the new tech stack for the agentic wave. A few highlights:

$GOOGL missed revenue by $80M on $111.21B — 0.07% — and dropped 7%. Cloud beat estimates by 5.5% and it did not matter. The tell is capex: $51.36B vs $55.78B expected. Spending $4.4B less than planned is now the bear case. When did underspending become a sell signal?
*ALPHABET 3Q REV. EX-TAC $111.21B, EST. $111.29B *ALPHABET 3Q GOOGLE CLOUD REV. $30.71B, EST. $29.1B *ALPHABET 3Q CAPEX $51.36B, EST. $55.78B *ALPHABET SHARES DROP 7% AFTER 3Q EARNINGS REPORT

🔧 $SKHY printed a commodity at software margins. Q3 revenue was ₩104.6 trillion ($73.2B), up 328% YoY — first above ₩100 trillion. Operating profit was ₩83.3 trillion, up 632%: a 79.7% margin, per its filing. Management says DRAM and HBM volume through 2029 is sold out. My Take Memory was the cycle's victim: build, crash the price, repeat. 🧠 HBM broke that loop. A bottleneck sold out three years ahead lets the supplier set the price, not the buyer. The steelman for the skeptics: net income missed consensus, down 58% from Q2, and 80% margins are what a peak used to look like. True, but past peaks had unsold inventory. This one has a waitlist. Broke Guy 🔧 Sold out through 2029 — what breaks first, demand or the margin?
