🔹I am deeply honoured to have received an award today from the Transparency Task Force at the House of Commons, Westminster, during the summit “Why We Must Protect the Wellbeing of Whistleblowers,” - held in memory of Simon Andriesz & organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Investment Fraud and Fairer Financial Services. 🔹My sincere thanks to the Transparency Task Force for this recognition and for its tireless commitment to exposing financial wrongdoing, championing whistleblowers & supporting victims. 🔹I wish to dedicate this award to all victims of banking misconduct and financial fraud, whether through the hidden credit line scandal or mortgage overcharging & abuse - to all those who have lost their homes, businesses, livelihoods, health &, tragically, their lives. 🔹To the families left behind, to those still fighting for justice & to the courageous internal bank whistleblowers who have risked everything to expose wrongdoing: this recognition also belongs to you. 🔹Behind every financial scandal are human beings whose suffering is too often overlooked, while those responsible too frequently escape meaningful accountability. 🔹The protection of powerful financial institutions must never take precedence over the protection of innocent people. 🔹It was particularly poignant to receive this recognition at a gathering honouring Simon Andriesz, whose courage & tragic loss remind us why this work matters so profoundly. 🔹May his memory strengthen our collective determination to expose wrongdoing, protect whistleblowers, support victims and secure justice. 🔹For those we have lost. For those still suffering. And for those who refuse to be silenced. 🔹Thank you to all who have supported me through this difficult journey. 🔹Work together; share evidence; harness the power of AI & ensure those who are exposing fraud & misconduct are not facing the repercussions alone. 🔹 Rest in peace Simon. @TransparencyTF @johnmcdonnellMP @Wftproof @stevemiddi1 @WinkSabee @BlowersIreland @kenoflynnTD @JMcGuinnessTD @SamanthaLaDuc @CarshaltonArt @efgbricklayer @JulieCo64621732 @alomohan @premnsikka @celticjulie @AnybodyButBerti @NoelMcgree

📢 FINAL REMINDER! Whistleblower Summit | UK Parliament | Monday 2nd November, 2pm–5pm The APPG on Investment Fraud and Fairer Financial Services invites you register your interest for a complimentary place at a special event in Parliament on the vital role whistleblowers play in society, and the need to protect them from retaliation. The summit is dedicated to the memory of whistleblower Simon Andriesz, who took his own life after reporting retaliation by his former employer. His case featured on BBC File on 4 Investigates. Simon had pleaded with the FCA for help, explaining that he and his family “were in crisis.” His death has led whistleblowers around the world to unite in condemning the regulator. As far as we know, this is the first time whistleblowers worldwide have spoken out together on behalf of a fellow whistleblower. Baroness Kramer has also spoken about Simon’s death in the Lords, and the case has received widespread media coverage. 🤝 Show your support for whistleblowers by attending. 👉 Register your interest for a free place: lnkd.in/esfJ9FyN 🎧 BBC File on 4: lnkd.in/e4Nk_K3A 📰 Press coverage: lnkd.in/eqjprZHb #Whistleblowers #WhistleblowerProtection #UKParliament #FCA #APPGIFFFS #SimonAndriesz

We live in the world that Capitalism has built. A world of massive inequality, filled with greed, racism and hate. Division caused by those at the top to keep everyone divided so they can profit in peace. It is the entire system which needs to be destroyed.

How many in all of Ireland have lost businesses & families ( suicides) to the scandal RT / share Copy your TD History repeats if not fixed
THIS IS THE NEXT BIG UK SCANDAL The Hidden Credit Line scandal has run since the 2000s. NatWest (@NatWestGroup), Royal Bank of Scotland (@RBS_Help) and Ulster Bank (@UlsterBankNI) sold business owners loans with an interest rate swap attached. It was marketed as protection if rates rose. It actually created hidden exposure against the customer's own assets that nobody clearly explained. When rates fell after 2008, banks used that exposure to call in debts, strip assets and push profitable businesses into insolvency. Steve Middleton (@stevemiddi1) and Mark Wright, a former RBS manager, built BankConfidential (@BankConfidenti1) to collect the evidence. Mark Wright put in about £60,000 of his own pension. Neither made a penny and both lost their careers for telling the truth. In November 2022 they met the FCA (@TheFCA) with Lord Prem Sikka (@premnsikka) and derivatives expert Ian Tyler. James Hurley (@jameshurley) of @thetimes had already written 4 articles calling it financial and accounting fraud. The FCA let NatWest review itself and concluded it was not technically criminal fraud. BankConfidential published its full report in November 2025. On 14 April 2026 it prompted a Westminster Hall debate led by John McDonnell (@johnmcdonnellMP), chair of the APPG on Investment Fraud and Fairer Financial Services (@appgonifandffs). MPs asked for a judge led statutory inquiry under the Inquiries Act 2005. Six reviews had already produced no justice. Ian Byrne (@IanByrneMP) said this scandal belongs alongside Hillsborough, Post Office Horizon and infected blood. He also noted the FCA is a private company limited by guarantee with immunity from civil liability. Andrew Candy was hit with an undisclosed £70,000 break cost. He lost his business and family home and spent 17 years seeking answers. Economic Secretary Lucy Rigby (@LucyRigby) replied that the FCA is independent and ministers should be careful about interfering. The regulator failed for over a decade, and its independence is now the reason given for not investigating that failure. Nobody has gone to prison... yet. HE WARNED THE BANK. THE BANK COLLAPSED. YOU PAID THE BILL. Paul Moore (@Paul_R_Moore) was Head of Group Regulatory Risk at Halifax Bank of Scotland. His literal job was to spot danger. In 2004, he spotted it. He told the board that HBOS was lending recklessly, growing too fast, and building a financial time bomb. They thanked him by sacking him. KPMG was brought in to investigate his concerns. KPMG concluded everything was fine. The Financial Services Authority @TheFCA whose deputy chair was HBOS chief executive James Crosby, agreed. Nothing to see here. Four years later, HBOS collapsed. Lloyds (@LloydsBank / @LBGplc) was pushed into a shotgun merger to absorb the wreckage, then needed a £20.5 billion taxpayer bailout to survive it. James Crosby eventually handed back his knighthood and forfeited part of his £25 million pension. He was not prosecuted. Nobody was. Paul Moore went to the Treasury Select Committee in 2009 and laid out exactly what had happened. It caused, as one journalist put it, shockwaves through the British establishment. It also caused addiction, depression, and suicidal episodes for Moore himself. He spent years warning anyone who would listen that the system was broken. He wrote a book called Crash Bank Wallop. He died in September 2020. The men who built the disaster got pensions. The man who tried to stop it got destroyed. If you think whistleblowers are protected in this country, Paul Moore's life is your answer. Sources: @BBC, @guardian, @Channel4News | @Wikipedia | @TransparencyTF
