Con-GRAD-ulations to our Class of 2023 🎓🎉 We hope you have a special time celebrating your amazing achievements from the past few years 🫶
A large group of graduates in black robes are on tiered steps having their group photo taken. They are throwing their hats in the air to celebrate. On top of the image is a large orange box with a white outline and an off-centred green shadow. The writing reads "CON-GRAD-ULATIONS CLASS OF 2023".

It was a pleasure to be representing students and the @UniofExeter @ExeterGuild today. These opportunities to connect with amazing leaders in the education sector, most of whom are taking on climate & sustainability voluntarily, are invaluable.

Finally, thank you to the @TheEAUC team for having me. These spaces are so needed and it’s wonderful to be invited to share my lives experiences as an elected student representative and climate justice activist.

Shell's announcement today that it will increase fossil fuel production in the short term while targeting net-zero emissions by 2050 is “scientifically incoherent”, @JamesGDyke tells @MadeleineCuff in @newscientist. newscientist.com/article/237…

Shell can't say it backs net zero while still betting on fossil fuels | New Scientist

Like its rival BP, Shell claims it is committed to reaching net zero by 2050 despite planning to increase its output this decade, but experts say this doesn’t add up

can't wait for the tories to try and arrest flash floods, collapsed railways, melting roads etc for causing 'more than a minor hindrance' to the lives of citizens as climate change driven by fossil fuel use they refuse to legislate against continues to create extreme weather

Last night one of my friends, a caring & motivated @UniofExeter student and @JustStop_Oil activist, disrupted the World Snooker Championships at the Crucible theatre. He covered the table in orange powder paint before being removed by security. Another activist was pulled away 🧵

🎱 NEW OIL AND GAS WILL SNOOKER US 🦺 At around 7:20pm, two Just Stop Oil supporters have disrupted the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, interrupting play. The pair proceeded to cover the tables in orange powder paint before being removed by security and arrested. 🛢️ They are demanding that the Government immediately stop all new UK fossil fuel projects and are calling on UK sporting institutions to step into in civil resistance against the Government’s genocidal policies. 🚷 Sign up to slow march at juststopoil.org 🌡 Attend a welcome talk at bit.ly/JSOevents 💸 Support us at bit.ly/JSOdonate3 #CivilResistance #A22Network #JustStopOil #NoNewOil #NoNewCoal #EnoughIsEnough #ClimateCrisis #ClimateChange #CostOfLivingCrisis #CostOfGreedCrisis #UK #Government #FossilFuels #CivilDisobedience

I am asking @UniofExeter to support Eddie in this action. He is a student who is risking so much by acting on climate science that the University produces. Knowledge without practice is useless in the fight for climate justice and a better world.

@UniofExeter - Please amplify our message for no new oil and gas licenses. Please support all students going to protests, taking direction and those in civil resistance. Thank you. @Exeter_Students @GSI_Exeter @ExeterGuild @shellout_exeter
