An ordinary-looking photo of a hand, but my thumb is touching the acidophilous liverwort Anastrepta orcadensis and the little finger is on the calcicolous moss Palustriella commutata. Heath/flush boundary (NVC H21a & M37) on the Isle of Skye.

The living memorial features 100 trees set in rings to mark the passage of time. Minister @MairiMcAllan planted the last tree with Yutsil Martinez grandson of Sam Martinez, a man who travelled from Belize in 1942 to work in Scotland's forests.
