I repeat: Pro-extinctionism is ubiquitous in Silicon Valley, embraced and promoted by some of the most powerful people in the world--individuals who are actively determining our collective future. For tons of examples, see my article below:
STUNNING: Elon Musk is backing away from being a humanity-first "speciesist." 😱 He's warming up to Larry Page's view that AI should run the future: "There've been a few times where I've thought, 'yeah, maybe Larry Page was right'... I hope the AI is nice to us."

Mattias Desmet (@DesmetMattias), Belgian professor of clinical psychology and author of The Psychology of Totalitarianism, analyzes how propaganda becomes effective once loneliness and free-floating anxiety have prepared a population to accept it. He argues that the rapid shift from the COVID narrative to the Ukraine war demonstrates the mechanism of mass formation, and that only a minority willing to keep speaking out can prevent the process from reaching its most destructive stage. “I do believe that modern democracy actually from the beginning was a state system where propaganda was the organizing principle. Modern geopolitical leaders have a huge machinery at their disposal, like the internet, to manipulate public opinion. That’s one important aspect of propaganda. But there is a second one. You need a population who buys into it, and to do that you need a lonely population. The Corona narrative was dominant at the psychological level in Western culture. Then suddenly the war in Ukraine started, and almost overnight you could see how the Corona narrative lost its power at the beginning of 2022. The Ukraine narrative, which in many respects I do believe was as absurd as the corona narrative, replaced that function. People found a new object of anxiety, and all the anxiety, frustration, and aggression switched from the corona virus to Putin. In the same way, we could see that first people were willing to self-sacrifice to fight the corona virus, and then in the same strange way they were willing to self-sacrifice to fight Putin. There is always a group of people, usually small, which is resilient to it and doesn’t fall prey to the mass formation. There are always three groups. You have one group who is really in a hypnotic stage, hypnotized by the mass formation. That’s about 30% usually. That’s the really totalitarian group—the group who really believes and blindly buys into the narrative. Then there is a very large second group, 50–60% of the people, who know that there is something wrong with the narrative but who will remain silent because they want to choose the easy way. And then there is a very small group of people, between 1% and 10%, who see that there is something wrong with the mainstream narrative and who choose to speak out, who refuse to remain silent. Gustav Le Bon remarked something very important. He said that when a mass formation emerges, there is always a group of people who try to speak out and who try to wake up the masses. They will usually be very disappointed, because they will see that the people don’t want to wake up, that they want to continue to buy into the narrative, and that they even become very aggressive against those who speak out. He mentioned this already in his seminal work The Psychology of the Crowd, but he also notes that this group of people, even when it doesn’t succeed in waking up the masses, nevertheless has a very important effect. When these people continue to speak out, the mass formation usually will not go deeper, and it will not go to the last stage where the masses start to destroy everyone who doesn’t go along with them. When this group chooses to continue to speak out, no matter whether the masses wake up or not, the mass formation usually won’t go to the ultimate and destructive phase.” The danger is not only propaganda from above, but a population conditioned to accept it. The duty of those who recognize the manipulation is to keep speaking out, even when the majority refuses to listen.

"This one blew me away." Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton reached a settlement with Sprouts over its use of Produce Max, an EPA-registered antimicrobial pesticide containing hypochlorous acid, in produce misting systems. Under the settlement, Sprouts agreed to stop spraying Produce Max on all produce nationwide and to stop using synthetic antimicrobial pesticides on organic produce. Most shoppers probably never imagined the produce misters could be spraying a pesticide at all. “This is a win-win for everybody, including really the consumer.

The real news here isn’t the result; it’s what we were not told. 1. AI once tried to be a science. Now we get stuff like the completely vague report from OpenAI below, and a lot of ignorant questions from people who don’t know how to think critically. “Same procedure”? “using an unreleased model”? This would never pass peer review. We don’t know what the procedure was. We know nothing about the architecture (e.g., were proofs generated in one shot, and then verified by Lean? was there an iterative process?). We know nothing about the failure rate. We know nothing about the training/post training/data agumentation. 2. As a result we have zero idea of how generalizable the result is outside math. 3. A lot of X has been reduced to an ignorant cheering section that applauds without knowing what it is applauding or what it might mean — without ever asking basic scientific questions. The new system could be a legitimate step towards AGI or just a clever leveraging of Lean and synthetic data in a verifiable domain with no generality whatsoever; from this report we can tell almost nothing.

Mainstream coverage of BER v. CDC: Bloomberg Law @BLaw reports that HHS is seeking to dismiss our Havana Syndrome lawsuit. By @SandhyaWrites The government argues the court lacks jurisdiction. It does not challenge the merits: whether civilians with Havana Syndrome need a CDC case definition, surveillance, or clinician guidance. Our opposition is due October 26. BER v. When I released this 6 years ago with "Mr X" I was asked to temporarily take it down by New York Times journalists Leslie Kean & Ralph Blumenthal. Why? They were chasing leads and this video had more actionable intelligence than anything they found. Worth your time👇 #UFOx

“People have worked themselves into a frenzy anthropomorphizing basic lapses in cybersecurity, and this has led them to focusing on fanciful scenarios about AI leading to the extinction of humanity, instead of asking what practical steps we can take to protect the world's infrastructure from bad actors misusing AI”, Marcus told @mashable .

“They have things much more powerful than nuclear weapons.” “Exotic weapons.” “And they have had breakthrough energy for at least 100 years.” Catherine Austin Fitts just dropped two bombshell revelations. Bookmark this. She spent “decades looking at the black budget.” And she’s convinced the deep state has secret advanced technology beyond our wildest imagination. “I think the technology … they have is much greater than what is commonly understood.” “I’m confident the US and many other countries have this energy.” “They just don’t want to make it widely available.” “Because it makes it difficult to control.” And she suspects this secret technology is one of the key reasons behind the deep state’s push to build a digital control grid. “They want to bring out breakthrough energy.” But they want to keep total control over it. @solari_the @paulbuitink

BREAKING: Michael 'Big Short' Burry says warnings from OpenAI and Anthropic on AI safety are nothing but “self-serving” IPO hype. Burry argues that calls to slow frontier AI are really about protecting incumbents as competition catches up, while hyping the idea that their technology is so powerful it could become dangerous. He says the warnings also provide “cover” for slowing growth as major AI companies prepare for potential IPOs, arguing that “LLMs are not AI and won’t be AGI.”

Another good analysis from Berletic
🇺🇸What's Behind Trump's Recent "Moon" Rant? ▪️Much of what the US president says, regardless of administration, is to distract the global public from continuity of agenda and how its advances special interests at the expense of the rest of the planet - however - sometimes these are topics being introduced to the public for a reason; ▪️The Moon sits atop the Earth's gravity well, making it a "high ground" for orbital warfare and orbital-to-surface combat; ▪️It creates a base from which to launch anti-satellite systems as well as kinetic kill vehicles toward the Earth's surface from bases incredibly difficult for missiles and rockets on Earth to strike back against; ▪️Controlling the Moon would allow the US to deny China the ability to develop its Earth-Moon economic zone - a Chinese achievement that would indefinitely prevent the US from ever undermining China and reasserting US hegemony again; ▪️The US, China, and Russia all have anti-satellite missiles, jamming capabilities, and "inspector satellites" that can approach, jam, or even grapple adversary satellites - extending this arms race to the Moon at the top of the Earth's gravity well, is the natural next step this propaganda is attempting to prepare the public for;
