In 2013, Queen guitarist Brian May began turning 157 acres of former farmland in Dorset, England, into a wildlife haven now known as May’s Wood, a project that has grown into a rewilding effort with more than 100,000 trees and shrubs planted across the land.
As the woodland matured, insects, birds, and small mammals began returning, restoring biodiversity to ground that had been dominated by intensive agriculture, so that what had been open farmland became a growing ecosystem meant to give wildlife more space.
The same musician known to millions as Queen’s guitarist has spent years on that return of the land to forest and to the animals using it.

We honor the passing of Chester Nez, the last of the original 29 Navajo Code Talkers —
a quiet warrior whose words helped turn the tide of a world at war.
At 93, he left us as the final living architect of an unbreakable code, born from a language once silenced, yet powerful enough to protect a nation. From Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima, he fought not with bullets, but with messages no enemy could decipher.
Every transmission carried urgency.
Every Navajo word meant survival.
Every coded message helped bring victory closer.
Today, that brave voice has fallen silent —
but its echo will forever live in the history of America.

Exceptionally heavy El Niño rains have triggered millions of dormant seeds beneath the soil, transforming vast stretches of one of the world’s driest regions into a spectacular carpet of flowers. 🌸🌸🌸
The Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on Earth, has been dramatically transformed following heavy rainfall in northern Chile. Areas that are typically barren and parched are now covered in vibrant violet and white blossoms, a rare natural phenomenon known as the “flowering desert.”🏵️🏵️🏵️

#NEPAL: This is incredible. 1,643 children survived because one headmaster acted fast when disaster was already on the way.
He received a warning that a village upstream had been swept away by the river. He immediately rang the school bell and moved the children and teachers to higher ground.
School buses were on the way to school, He called the bus drivers and told them: "Don't come here. Go back."
One school bus was already on its way. The headmaster saw it approaching the bridge and told the driver to turn back. The bus reached safety just before the bridge collapsed.
Then the flood hit the school. The entire three-storey school was washed away. It completely vanished. Not even a trace was left behind.
But all 1,643 children survived.

#News #NewsThisHour #NewsWorld #RRR #RWorld Hundreds of People missing including about 400 foreign Nationals. Pray for all. Pray for Nepal and Tibet.
May all those missing be found soon. 🙏
Key Points
What happened: A massive wall of water, mud, and debris surged through river valleys along the Nepal-China (Tibet) border. It destroyed villages, roads, bridges, and infrastructure. The flood originated near the border and hit both sides.
Location: Primarily Rasuwa district in Nepal (Syapru Besi, Timure areas) and downstream districts (Nuwakot, Dhading, etc.). On the Chinese side, Gyirong Port (Gyirong County) in Tibet was heavily impacted, cutting roads, power, and communications.
Cause: Preliminary reports point to an earthquake-triggered ice-rock avalanche or rockslide into the Lhende Khola / Bhote Koshi river system. There was little to no rainfall in Nepal at the time. Experts link it to glacial/avalanche activity in the high Himalayas.
Casualties (preliminary & rising):At least 8–31 people confirmed dead (reports vary; some sources cite 22+ bodies recovered).
Around 384 people missing, including roughly 291 foreigners and 93 Nepalis.
Foreign missing include approximately 105 Indians, 12 British nationals, 3 US citizens, Malaysians, South Africans, and others.
“Major casualties” and missing persons reported on the Tibet side at Gyirong Port.
Security personnel and hydropower workers are also among the missing.
India is coordinating closely with Nepal on relief.
Risk of a secondary flood remains due to an upstream blockage on the Lhende Khola.
