2 weeks ago my brother in law laughed and called Bitcoin fools gold.
I urged him to read The Bitcoin Standard by @saifedean
Today, he’s orange pilled and can’t get over how messed up the current central banking system is 🟠
Look at this map.
People always assume that Dubai got rich from oil. False.
All the oil is in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Dubai got rich by creating an environment welcoming for entrepreneurs and wealth creation.
Lesson in that.
🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates: 7 Emirates, 6 Royal Families.

ALT The UAE, formed in 1971, balances autonomy with federal unity, with Abu Dhabi's ruler always serving as president. The Al Qasimi family uniquely rules both Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, stemming from a historical split in 1869. This infographic reflects the UAE's roots in British-protected sheikhdoms and its evolution into a modern federation driven by oil wealth and strategic unity. 🔎 Generic Maps
If I wanted a nice quiet life, I would immediately go back to Canada.
Near family, long time friends, nature.
But I really do believe the UAE is the land of opportunity for the next decade.
Inspiration, wealth and talent is around every corner.
That level of success is contagious and fills me with hope.
The truth of the matter is this.
Governments are broke and have adopted a fake climate agenda to justify increased tax revenue.
I’m dumbstruck by how many Brits, Americans and Canadians are moving to the UAE 🇦🇪
The land of the free!
Everyone wants to make more money.
Few look at what’s quietly draining it.
🇨🇦/🇪🇺 → Earn $150K, pay ~$70K in taxes, live on $60K, save $20K.
10% returns → $1M in 25+ years.
🇦🇪 → Earn $150K, 0% tax, live well on $80K, save $70K.
10% returns → $1M in 9 years.
Same skills. Same grind.
Different geography.
Moving to the UAE was like grabbing the Super Mario star. Everything starts compounding faster. ⭐️⚡️
🧵 Thread:
Most people don’t realize how much taxes slow their life down.
I left the West and it felt like I just grabbed the Super Mario star ⭐️
Everything started compounding faster. ⚡️
Here’s why. 👇
⸻
1️⃣ Europe, Canada, the U.S.
They sell you stability, but the trade-off is 40–50% of everything you earn.
You grind harder, but the system quietly keeps you broke.
That’s not security, that’s a slow bleed.
⸻
2️⃣ The UAE flips the script.
0% tax.
No wealth tax.
No capital gains.
The same work that barely covered bills back home now scales like crazy.
Freedom isn’t a mindset — it’s a zip code.
⸻
3️⃣ Remove the tax drag and everything accelerates.
Savings grow.
Investments compound.
You stop chasing “catch-up.”
It’s the same game, just with speed boosts unlocked.
⸻
4️⃣ Living in the UAE feels like the Super Mario star.
You’re still dodging obstacles, but you’re moving faster, stacking wins, and finally playing offense instead of defense.
⸻
5️⃣ The real tax isn’t money, it’s time.
Every unnecessary tax bill is months or years you never get back.
Cut that, and you buy back the most valuable asset on earth: margin.
⸻
6️⃣ Final thought:
I didn’t hustle harder or get luckier.
I just changed location and that changed everything.
Some systems drain you.
Others give you your speed back. ⚡️
Drop me a follow if this resonates with you! 💪
Canada is losing its most talented citizens.
Why?
Because they are the ones that can just pick up and leave.
You want to be in a 0% capital gains tax environment the next time there is a blow-off top in stocks and digital assets.
You took the risk and should reap the rewards! 💰

🧵 Thread: From High-Tax Grind in Canada to Financial Freedom in the UAE 🇨🇦➡️🇦🇪
1/ So here’s my story: I moved from Canada to the UAE not just to chase the sun, but to escape that high-tax grind and actually keep more of the money I earn. Honestly, it’s been a game changer.
2/ It’s not all about the dollars (though let’s be real, that helps). It’s about the opportunities here—the network, the people, and the fact that my dollars go so much further. I can invest more and really build towards leaving the 9–5 sooner rather than later.
3/ I want to be totally transparent: I’m still in that 9–5 right now. But being here in the UAE is letting me build the runway I need. It’s about having that freedom to invest and eventually step away on my own terms.
4/ So if you’re curious about how to make your own money go further or how to design a lifestyle that’s a little more on your own terms, stick around. We’re just getting started.

Abu Dhabi is starting to come to life.
You can sense the buzz about the place with the noise on the F1 track and yachts starting to come into town.
More people from Dubai should visit Abu Dhabi.
☀️ 🛥️
I’m in the season of building as much of a portfolio as I can in a 0% tax country to buy back my time forever.
idk if this Neo robot is legit or just a fancy Roomba with better marketing 😂
Roombas kinda suck tbh.
But IF it’s real? game over.
having a maid in the UAE already taught me what “buying time” feels like.
THAT’S the flex.
More hours for the stuff that actually matters and levels you up 🚀
Blue Jays tied the World Series at 2–2. 🇨🇦
I left Canada to stop playing a losing game.
50% to taxes, 0% to peace of mind.
In the UAE, it’s flipped.
Moving location can help build back time freedom.
Everyone’s out here grinding for an extra 10% raise.
I moved to the UAE and kept 40% more of my income overnight.
Same work. Same skills.
Different tax code.
Stop chasing raises in broken systems.
Start chasing freedom geography.
