What if we treated All-Star voting like we do political elections Instead of Talarico vs Paxton we’re on the edge of our seats watching votes come in for Wetherholt vs. Turang to win NL 2B

I hate to be the party pooper, but the largest Free Agent deal given out by the Braves franchise was $75M over 5 years to BJ Upton in 2013 It's never been their business model to make big FA splashes, and I have no reason to believe that'll change soon

Polls closing on election night? Sorry, they’ve got a random 2001 Braves regular season game on MLB Network. I know how I’m spending my evening.

Could you say they’re deferring the salary (cap)?
Major League Baseball proposed postponing the implementation of a salary cap until the 2028 season while still putting into place the other elements of its labor offer for 2027, citing the difficulty of teams navigating free agency amid the current uncertainty.

The fraction of this fanbase that is adamant about trading Ronald Acuña Jr. is extremely fascinating to me Sure, they'd be silly not to at least explore options, but some of these people are begging for him to be gone regardless of the return

This has to be something the Braves entertain 2026 FIPs: 3.24 - Woo 3.83 - Gilbert 3.90 - Kirby 4.00 - Hancock 4.41 - Miller Kirby/Hancock feel like reasonable targets Mariners needs: DH OF Bench Depth
The Seattle Mariners are “poking around” to see how to use their pitching surplus to acquire a bat in the trade market, per @Buster_ESPN Seattle has: Bryce Miller Logan Gilbert Bryan Woo George Kirby Emerson Hancock Kade Anderson Ryan Sloan (not brought up)

I personally think a good trade framework would be centered around Kirby or Hancock for Sean Murphy Add in prospects/cash on whichever side to even it out. Allows Sean to split time with Cal at C, and would be a valuable bench bat/DH

The Braves made the likely smart decision to bring Ozzie Albies back for $7M next season, but this will be an incredibly important year regarding his Braves future His barrel rate dropped to a career-low 3.8% in 2026, putting him in the 13th percentile
