Rethinking what people conceive of financial markets. Starting with @berachain.

1/ Imagine getting incentivized just for opening a long or short position on a fresh-launch memecoin 😱😱😱 That’s the core idea behind @Exponents_Fi — a new derivatives protocol on @berachain that introduces an incentives layer for speculation. @Exponents_Fi is building a permissionless, oracle-free, liquidation-free perp system. You can trade any asset — including tokens fresh off TGE — using leverage, without waiting for whitelisting, oracles, or listing approvals. The entire system is designed for scale, flexibility, and capital efficiency. Let’s break it down

Berachain is struggling lately, but I think exponents can flip the table and save it

I'd agree with you if there wasn't a degree of substance beneath these things and I suspect that's where we fundamentally disagree. The concept of PoL is one that I believe in a lot, in saying that an L1s main export (block rewards) should be used to power its apps, not just incentivize stagnant capital to stake. And there's a host of novel applications building across DeFi and other sectors on Berachain, which I try to highlight frequently (@Exponents_Fi, @Hyperplex_xyz, @Ositofinance, are among some of the cooler net new DeFi things). Berabaddies is a community initiative started by one of the first people in our discord 3+ years ago, and they've got a group of ~1k women in crypto and have helped get hundreds of them to start exploring an on-chain eco / Berachain, with 25% of their members working at leading crypto protocols. People love to hate on them with very little understanding of what they do / are. The rest of this seems to be a soft attack on branding; if people ended up knowing us for our parties...sorry we threw good parties, or made jokes as eng timelines got delayed, which is one of the things I wish we could've improved. I think you may have misunderstood the intention of my post. I think mindshare maxxing is somewhat inevitable unfortunately, but I think the space will mature around fundamentals. My larger concern is converging so hard to lottery tickets that we lose a spirit of experimentation that could ultimately lead to more interesting outcomes.

1/ Uniswap gave us instant spot trading. No permission, no middlemen just pure access. But derivatives? Still stuck in the past. CEXs, oracles, liquidations, permissioned markets. @Exponents_Fi is changing that. It’s what Uniswap did but for perps.

The real challenge isn’t launching tokens. It’s keeping people engaged after the hype. That’s where @Exponents_Fi steps in.

I have studied a lot of token charts and price action, and here's my conclusion: Crypto has an incentive problem. I'm sure you don't understand what I mean, but I'll show you👇🏽 I want you to think hard: What are the current major incentives Web3 projects are offering? There are roughly only two: airdrops and LP yields. Airdrops are great for driving short-term user engagement, but the truth is once TGE comes, stuff hits the fan... and not in any good way. For example,  $BERA was on the lips of everyone up to TGE. It debuted at $13+. Now, it's below $4. Story Protocol's $IP has gone from a $6.8 peak to < $4 $Parti from $0.38+ to $0.17 I could go on and on. Only a few projects like $Layer have been able to maintain a freakish uptrend movement (and there are special circumstances to this one) What special circumstances? Simple, $Layer has given users juicy reasons to keep holding the token. But that's just on a local scale. LP yields are somewhat better for driving long-term success, but to make serious money here, you’ll need to have a bigger bank than what your average crypto user has. So again, this isn’t really a model that will appeal to the majority. That’s where @Exponents_Fi comes in. What @Exponents_Fi does is simple: Provide the platform or interface for projects to drive sustained user engagements by incentivizing them to do so. You want better token strength? Incentivize users to buy and provide them with juicy rewards for doing so. Or you could (maybe) go down the darker path by rewarding them to short your competition 👿 Exponents effectively unlocks true PvP in crypto and makes it into a free-for-all where everyone has a chance of walking away with something substantial. "Isn't this unfair for smaller projects?" No. Everyone in crypto is here to make money. So, people will always gravitate towards where they think the grass is greener. Besides, who said incentives have to only be monetary? I'll leave you to think on what that means. Exponentio
It's all about incentives Airdrops were invented to reward real users who provide liquidity and metrics to your app or chain. Kaito allowed projects to reward people on Twitter who bring social attention. Exponents will start a new trend where projects can directly incentivise traders to long their tokens (or short their competition)

wow @KaitoAI allowed users to collude socially, @Exponents_Fi allows users to collude on-chain.
The thesis is not just to build an another place to trade. It is not about improving existing markets, but about creating new viewpoints outside of existing frameworks. Imo one (vastly simplified) dimension of looking at asset valuations is a constant battle of collusion and competition. Where market participants constantly: - collude (agree on the same market direction) to squeeze out the countering longs/shorts - compete to get better prices during collusion and squeezes One has an efficient venue to coordinate, the other currently does not. Orderbooks are venues specialized for coordinating competition and are highly efficient in doing so. However, there is no specialized venue to coordinate collusion - this is where @Exponents_Fi's lobby (incentive/bribe) market will target. + P.S. no leverage nor incentives are free of risk, including those of Exponents; everything's a trade of immediate value vs. time.

the deeper you dig into @Exponents_Fi, the more new features you find first the innovation was a “oracle-free” leverage trading platform that allows people to instantly leverage trade a new asset then you found out that by trading with exponential leverage users do not get liquidated (still a risky instrument imo) now we discover that it allows people to collude on a large scale to affect the perception or direction of a project

What many are missing is that @Exponents_Fi will give utility to native tokens of various project How? Simply by enabling projects to give incentives to traders that are trading their tokens on Exponents. Your token becomes relevant by rewarding your users Trade2earn
