Honored to receive notice that my F30 is being funded by the @NatEyeInstitute! I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from @VanderbiltMSTP and @VanderbiltBrain and excited to continue exploring the interaction of astrocytes and retinal ganglion cells in #glaucoma. #mdphd
We found that sensitivity to potassium underlies differing excitability and action potential shapes in aON-S and aOFF-S RGCs. Interestingly, elevating potassium concentration shifts the responses of aON-S cells to resemble those of aOFF-S at baseline.
I’m excited to share my first first-authored paper from my #PhD work, out now in @FrontiersIn Cellular Neuroscience! We explored intrinsic properties of retinal ganglion cells which may contribute to their different responses in #vision: frontiersin.org/articles/10.…
Missed my intended cell and accidentally patched this handsome retinal astrocyte #HappyLittleAccidents #Glia #doubledocs

@VanderbiltMSTP Retreat 2021 was a success! It was so great to see everyone back together again after so long. And I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to plan it with! #mdphd #VandyMSTPretreat2021
Having a blast handing out the @VanderbiltMSTP retreat gift today! Ready to rep the program at every backyard gathering. Come get your chair after swinging by the med center farmers market!
@QuantPsychiatry: Detail-oriented or too much time on his hands?
