Budapest’s Opera House was inaugurated on this very day in 1884 A truly magnificent building which recently undertook a five year restoration and modernisation programme, reopening again in 2022 An opera house to rival the best in Europe!

The Grapes in London's Limehouse. You would never guess from its front façade in Narrow Street that it perches on the Thames. There has been a pub here since 1583; the current building dates from the 1720s. Brought to life in Our Mutual Friend as the Six Jolly Fellowship-Porters.
