WEATHER UPDATE: Fort Bend ISD is actively monitoring weather conditions and will continue to be in contact with local emergency management officials throughout the weekend and on Monday, January 20, when the district will be closed for the MLK Jr. Holiday. Beginning November 4 through November 18, FBISD is encouraging the community to participate in a public survey to provide their feedback for the 2025-26 school calendar. Three draft calendars—A, B, and C—are up for consideration, each thoughtfully designed with your needs in mind. As a District of Innovation, FBISD has the flexibility to customize our instructional calendar to better serve our community. We invite our students, staff, and district residents to participate in this exciting opportunity. The nomination period is officially open and will close on October 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Nominations must be submitted via the online form available here and on the FBISD website. To make a nomination, please provide a brief statement (no longer than 250 words) that includes biographical information or historical data, along with the reasons justifying the suggested name. Name nominations should generally honor people or places that meet the criteria outlined in Policy CW (Local), including significance in education, science, art, history, or military achievements. At Fort Bend ISD, the safety and security of our students, staff, and school communities is our top priority. This year, FBISD is introducing school ID badges for all students! These badges are required to be worn at all times on campus and buses. By Monday, August 19, most students will have received their badges. Pre-K and kindergarten students will receive theirs in the coming weeks. We are currently in Phase 1 of Stopfinder implementation, ensuring the most accurate data.
