Not only did the Illinois Supreme Court make the right call on bail today, it also granted a certificate of innocence to my client Wayne Washington, who has courageoulsy fought to clear his name for decades. Congratulations, Mr. Washington. Representing you has been an honor.
In January, our Executive Director, David Shapiro, represented Wayne Washington in People v. Washington while he was with @macarthrjustice. Mr. Washington was seeking a certificate of innocence after spending 14 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit.
