John Lynch on the bye week coming up: “During this bye, it’s really important that guys go about their business in a good fashion. Kyle talked to them, this can’t be seven days off. This is not a vacation. You do need to get away and clear your mind. The adage in the NFL 'You never get hurt during the bye week' cause that means you’re staying at the facility for the bye week.” The players understand this and are already locked in for the second half of the season via: @knbrmurph | @MarkusBoucher

Nick Bosa is tracking well and is expected to return for the Raiders game, per John Lynch

John Lynch says the 49ers are riding with Eddy Piñeiro: “We don’t have a kicker tryout. We have a lot of belief in Eddy. He has had a tough run early this year, but we extended Eddy for his body of work with us but then throughout the history of his career. He’s going through a rough patch right now. We have belief in Eddy, and we’re going to ride with him.” via: @knbrmurph | @MarkusBoucher

Richard Sherman believes the 49ers should move on from Jack Jones: “I thought the safeties would be an issue this season. Ji'Ayir Brown and Malik Mustapha have played outstanding football. But Jack Jones is kind of a mystery. He’s the 50/50, you don’t know what you’re gonna get out of him and that’s been an issue. I think they’re gonna have to look at free agents or look for a trade and find another veteran corner outside of Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green— that can go in there and play solid football. Every time they put Jones in there in a critical situation, it ends up being an issue. I don’t think he’s made enough big plays so far for this team to justify keeping him.” I agree, the 49ers need to release Jack Jones via: @RSherman_25
