Interesting remark from the Ukrainian president. According to him, the aid already provided by Germany accounts for around 16% of the total aid that #Ukraine has received to date. Not bad given that more than two dozen countries provide military assistance to Ukraine 🫡.
I had a meeting in Kyiv with Germany’s Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius. Our conversation focused on key priorities: building a comprehensive air defense shield, investing in Ukraine’s defense industry, ramping up Ukraine’s defense capabilities, training and supporting our soldiers on the battlefield.
I am grateful to Germany for its unwavering support, which has not only strengthened Ukraine’s defense but also played a crucial role in enhancing Europe’s security as a whole. Germany has made one of the largest contributions to protecting Ukraine’s skies and saving countless lives, providing approximately 16% of all the aid Ukraine has received.
We also discussed coordination with our partners to bring about a just peace and reviewed the outcomes of yesterday’s Group of 5 meeting of the defense ministers from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland.

Israel's Attack is Good News for Ukraine
Today’s attack by #Israel against the UAV and missile production facilities of #Iran is also good news for #Ukraine and NATO. Bad news for #Russia.
This is because the Iranian facilities destroyed were most likely involved in the supply of ballistic missiles and drone technology to Russia.

The Russian evacuation of Tartus begins.
After being in a holding pattern for over a week, the Sparta II has finally been allowed to dock at Tarth’s to evacuate the Russian equipment from the base.

“It’s about other matters entirely.”
Trump had signed an order halting foreign assistance for 3 months, pending a review of its alignment with his policies. This includes aid to Ukraine. All foreign aid programs are temporarily suspended for reassessment.

Putin congratulated Donald Trump on inauguration day.
He said that Russia is open to dialogue and negotiations but emphasized that "We will, of course, fight for the interests of Russia, for the interests of the Russian people. This, in fact, is the goal and meaning of the special military operation."
So Putin's position remains the same. He wants a weak and unarmed Ukraine.
