9 years ago, some of us organized a meeting to discuss possibility of bringing in a 6000 ton press in the US. I had goosebumps today to have a chance to stand in front of it and have time to appreciate. Thank you for those who made it possible! Enjoy the photos.

Went on a pilgrimage today to the temple of this Forceful Diety of Stress (6000 ton press called “Ichiban” @FORCEhighP) — soon that gaping maw will be fed with samples that will be able to experience pressures equivalent to those at more than 400 miles deep inside the Earth!
