A better IP selection than Epic Universe. Yea I said it.
20 years ago, a ticket to the magic kingdom cost 67 dollars. Now it's 154 dollars. An annual pass was 559 dollars. Now that pass is 1749 dollars. Make of that what you will.
NEW: Walt Disney World is increasing prices on some single-day tickets and all Annual Passes, while multiday ticket prices and some Lightning Lane prices remain unchanged, all effective today. Here’s a look at the pre-tax changes:
The lowest-priced 1-day ticket remains $119. The peak 1-day ticket for holiday dates in Nov.-Dec. 2027 is now $229. That price currently applies only to Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, up from the current maximum 1-day ticket price of $219. Multiday ticket prices at Walt Disney World are not increasing.
Annual Pass prices are increasing by $10-$120 depending on the pass type:
Pixie Dust: $499 (was $489)
Pirate: $909 (was $869)
Sorcerer: $1,139 (was $1,099)
Incredi-Pass: $1,749 (was $1,629)
Parking prices and Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing are unchanged. Single Pass ceilings are increasing by $1-$3 depending on the attraction and date, while Premiere Pass ceilings are increasing by $50 on the highest-demand days across all four parks.
Disney CFO Hugh Johnston said at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on Sept. 9 that the company is “super sensitive” to keeping ticket prices relatively low during value periods “so that we can actually encourage those young families to come in.”
On this day in 2007, the Canada pavilion at Epcot was rededicated to commemorate the opening of the new version of O’Canada starring Martin Short. Vice president of Epcot Jim MacPhee gave a speech and Eva Avila (singer of Canada you’re a lifetime journey) also made an appearance.
What is the best version of the Canada film at Epcot?
17%O'Canada (1982)
67%O' Canada (2007)
17%Canada Far and Wide

The day Epcot truly died was on September 30th, 2019 when Illuminations Reflections of Earth closed.
On this day in 2019, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth ran for the last time at EPCOT. It ran for exactly 20 years. The nighttime spectacular was a 12-minute narrative structured in three acts—Chaos, Order, and Meaning—that dramatized the birth of the planet, the rise of human civilization, and an optimistic vision for the future.
The show utilized fireworks, pyrotechnics, water fountains, fire effects, lasers, searchlights, and a large rotating globe with curved LED screens to create a visual production on the park's World Showcase Lagoon. Gavin Greenaway composed the score, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
What are y’all’s favorite Disney park music? For me the top 2 has to go to Illuminations Reflections of Earth and Happily Ever After.
If this were true Bob then literally everything that opened in Walt Disney World that opened from 2015-2022 would not exist.

Congratulations @DisTwitrPodcast for being my number one interaction!
It all makes sense now!
Bob Chapek's post-Disney career has been in private equity.
“I love private equity because it’s really about the business, there’s very little politics in it because it’s wholly owned or majority owned by one company, there’s no politics of managing big boards and things like that."

Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek speaks on his predecessor and successor Bob Iger and how he felt the way Bob Iger handled his exit.
Tom Corless, again cooking with these takes on the Bob Chapek book. Sure, Iger kinda dealt him with bad cards but Chapek handled it the worst way possible. Treated cast like trash, and guests. A total idiot.
Current Disney cast member Mark Daniel has recently spoken on Bob Chapek and his new memoir. Not a good look for Mr.Chapek.
And that’s why ladies and gentlemen he’s not in the CEO seat anymore.
Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek proudly stands by his strategy of raising prices at Disney Parks.
In Chapek's new memoir, obtained by @brooksbarnesNYT, Chapek says higher prices helped ease crowding and boost guest satisfaction, arguing Disney had previously left revenue opportunities “on the table.”
