پروفیسر نوتن لال جنکو گھوٹکی کی مقامی عدالت نے توہین مذہب کے جرم میں عمر قید کی سزا دی تھی جب ایک چودہ سالہ لڑکے نے کہا کہ پروفیسر کلاس میں آے اور توہین مذہب کر کے چلے گئے اس پر مقامی مولوی اکٹھے ہوے مندر جلایا احتجاج کیا پرچہ ہوا پروفیسر گرفتار ہوا اور عدالت نے سزا سنا دی
اب سکھر ہائی کورٹ نے انکو اس مقدمہ سے بری کر دیا ہے مگر ایک علم دوست مذہبی اقلیت سے تعلق رکھنے والا پروفیسر زندگی کے پانچ سال جیل میں رہا اسکے قید و بند کے ان پانچ سالوں کا حساب کون دے گا
اس کے بچوں فیملی پر جو بیتی ہو گی اس کا اندازہ آپ کر سکتے ہئں

پاکستان میں احمدیوں، مسیحیوں، ہندوؤں اور دیگر مذاہب کے ہمارے بھائی،شدت پسندی، نفرت اور سماجی عدم مساوات کے ایک عذاب کا شکار ہیں۔ کوئی بھی ریاست جب بھی مذہب اپنائے گی وہاں اقلیتیں اسی طرز کی تباہی کا شکار ہوں گی۔
ایک بہت معاشرہ فقط تب ممکن ہے جب ریاست سیکولر ہو۔ مذہب فرد اور خدا کے تعلق کا نام ہے۔ ریاست کا معاہدہ خدا کے ساتھ نہیں شہریوں کے ساتھ ہوتا ہے۔
میری زمین پر رہنے والے تمام غیرمسلم، پاکستان کے مساوی شہری جب تک نہیں بنتے ہم اقلیتوں کی نسل کشی دیکھتے رہیں گے۔
