MAKE THIS TWEET GO VIRAL. FSU leadership can ask ordinary fans for extraordinary loyalty—and our money—but apparently answering to us is too much. McCullough, Collins, and the BOT: hiding behind silence while this program crumbles is cowardly. If you stand behind refusing to make a change, publicly explain why. Demand an answer. Keep it respectful, but keep the pressure on. Board of Trustees: 📞 (850) 644-1000 📧 [email protected] President’s Office: 📞 (850) 644-1085 📧 [email protected] Bobby Bowden built a standard. You owe this fanbase an explanation for abandoning it.

He’s back: The Bears are planning to start Caleb Williams after he missed the past three games due to a torn hamstring but went through a full week of practice this week without any setbacks, per NFLN and ESPN.

This was the moment everything changed for FSU #NewLogoCurse
Someone asked me if I could pinpoint where FSU began to slip and transparently I believe the difficulties began off the field when sadly Monk no longer was part of the program due to illness.

Told the homie @FSU561 earlier this week I was worried Norvell would go garnet pants vs Bama. It really makes no sense with the decision making process. 😒

Jimbo Fisher "really wants" the FSU job, and FSU brass is looking into it, per The Athletic's Bruce Feldman. "Jimbo's rosters didn't stink," one source said. "His ability to adapt to modern football is what caught up with him." Fisher went 83-23 in eight seasons at FSU.

I don’t think people understand why Jameis Winston’s stats in 2013 don’t stack up with the greats. These were first quarter/early second quarter scores😂😂

America already made daylight saving time permanent once. In December 1973, 79% of Americans supported it and Nixon signed it into law. By February 1974, eight weeks into the experiment, support had collapsed to 42%. The policy never changed. Winter arrived. Sunrise in Washington DC came at 8:27am. Kids left for school in total darkness, carrying flashlights and wearing reflective tape. When Congress moved to repeal, members cited the deaths of eight Florida schoolchildren in the first weeks of the change. The energy case collapsed too. The whole point was the oil embargo, and the Department of Transportation concluded the fuel savings were too small to matter. Ten months after signing it, Congress repealed it and Ford put the country back on standard time. There's a mechanism that makes this cycle repeat: permanent DST is only ever voted on when the sun is up. Polls run in the abstract, votes happen in warm months, and the benefit, a free hour of evening light, is easy to imagine year-round. The cost is concentrated in about 10 weeks of dark winter mornings and only becomes real after implementation. So the policy polls beautifully right up until January. Today's vote happened in July. The 1974 law passed in December, right before the exact winter that killed it. If this clears the Senate, the first real test arrives in January 2027, when sunrise in Indianapolis comes after 9am. Sleep researchers have watched this loop for 50 years, which is why the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the AMA, and the National Sleep Foundation all back the opposite reform, permanent standard time. Congress just picked the one version of clock reform America has already tried, hated, and repealed.
BREAKING: House votes 308-117 to make daylight saving time permanent, sending the bill to the Senate.

Two upgrades the FSU equipment room needs: 1. Garnet & Gold spears on the white helmet. 2. A black alternate uniform. Honorable mention: a throwback uniform (preferably ‘97). That’s the list.

Exclusive: The acting director of the CDC has delayed publication of a report showing the covid-19 vaccine cut the likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations for healthy adults last winter by about half, according to two scientists. wapo.st/4tFqKqY

Florida State really beat Alabama, delivered the biggest blowout by any team of the entire season, and then went 3-7 after that.

Dear all 32 NFL teams: Will one of you, any of you, please make Jameis Winston a starter next season. He’s too good and too entertaining not to be a QB1 somewhere. We fans deserve to see him play more than a few times each year. Sincerely, - NFL Football Fans Everywhere 💯

Replying to @M_Alford11
@SeminoleAlford I’m not going to swear at you or drag your family into this. That’s what the classless bullies on here do when they run out of arguments. I’m speaking to you directly, respectfully, and as someone who cares deeply about this program. But this decision? It’s disgraceful. The choice by the administration — and by you specifically — to keep Mike Norvell purely because you don’t want to cut a check says everything about where we are as a program right now. We are no longer operating like a serious football power. We’re acting like a school hoping no one notices we’ve fallen behind. Any legitimate top-10 or top-15 program in the country would have made a change after the Stanford game. Not debated it. Not spun it. Fired him. Immediately. Look around at how LSU, Florida, Penn State, and others handle mediocrity: they don’t tolerate it, and they certainly don’t reward it with another year. We’re the only ones pretending this is acceptable. Let’s call this what it is — a financial decision. Nothing more. There’s no on-field justification for bringing him back. None. He’s 7–17 over the last two seasons. That alone disqualifies him from leading any major program. He hasn’t earned another chance. He hasn’t shown progress. He hasn’t inspired confidence. The only reason he’s still here is because the buyout stings and you don’t want to absorb it. And let’s not rewrite history: you handcuffed this program when you panicked and handed him that absurd extension because Alabama flashed interest. That was the moment the leverage swung, and we’ve been paying for it ever since. He hasn’t shown he can recruit at a championship level. He hasn’t demonstrated he can build a sustainable program. He hasn’t proven he can motivate or elevate the players in the locker room. We look lost, soft, and directionless. That’s on him — and now it’s on you for refusing to make the change everyone sees is necessary. He deserves to be fired. Point blank. And when you choose not to reverse course — when you stick by this decision — you owe the alumni, the board of trustees, and the entire fan base a full, transparent explanation. Stand in front of them and justify this move as anything other than a cost-cutting choice. Explain why wins and losses suddenly don’t matter. Explain why lowering the standard has become acceptable. Because until you do, the message is loud and clear: this administration is more interested in balancing a budget than building a winning program. And that should terrify anyone who cares about the future of Florida State football.

Can the ACC hold together when teams have such vastly different expectations? 5 wins with a loss to Stanford is good enough for Florida State, but 6 wins and a loss to Stanford led to Cal immediately firing their coach.

I’d argue the age range of 35-45 is one of the most taxing mentally. - Your parents’ age begins to show - Friends groups splinters as some have kids, some don’t - Careers hit hiccups or strides - People you know die unexpectedly due to health issues - Friends develop substance or drinking issues I’ve noticed a general frustration in many people in this age range. They describe a pressure and overwhelming sense that things feel off or just harder. It’s not to say all of this will happen to someone in that era, but it’s when these things tend to play out.

They’re actually doing it. The Trump administration just moved to gut federal support for nursing programs — a backdoor way to kill the degree pipeline itself. Less funding → fewer spots → fewer nurses → worse care for everyone. They call it “reform.” It’s sabotage.
