2021. Do it. Do it now! It is easy and you only need a relatively modern machine with 16GB about 200GB of disc and a bit of sysadmin knowledge. chrispinnock.com/tezos/quick…

What do you do with art besides sell it? Ryan Tanaka explains how @TeiaCommunity is trying to build around what people actually do with art: comment, talk about it, make curations, and build collections, rather than focusing only on sales.

Sending to a name instead of a tz1/tz2 is the obvious one, subdomains are also a useful feature, but my favourite part is that lots of platforms recognize your .tez when you connect your wallet and show your name/profile right away. What else do you use yours for? 👀
I’m curious: what are you actually using your Tezos domain for? 👀 Besides owning the name, what benefits do you get from it? Are you using it for wallet addresses, profile information, subdomains, a decentralized website, or an IPFS-based art portfolio? I’m trying to understand the real-world value of a .tez domain, especially for artists, and whether it’s worth the annual renewal fee. Share your experience! ✨

What happens when today’s secure cryptography becomes tomorrow’s weakness? The answer isn’t just choosing a stronger algorithm. It’s building systems that can adapt. This is called cryptographic agility. It means designing protocols so cryptographic algorithms can be replaced without rebuilding the entire system. Why does this matter? → Algorithms evolve: new vulnerabilities can emerge. → Standards change: better alternatives may become available. → Migration takes time: systems need a practical upgrade path. → Quantum threats add urgency: post-quantum cryptography will also continue to evolve. The goal isn’t to predict which algorithm will last forever. It’s to avoid depending on one forever. That’s an important lesson for blockchain design, and one reason @tezos’ ongoing protocol evolution is worth following. Can a blockchain truly be future-ready if its cryptography cannot be upgraded easily?

That’s why post quantum work on Tezos started early. Quantumnet is Tezos’s experimental post-quantum previewnet: rough around the edges, and built to be tested. Bakers can try it today 👇 quantumnet.pqpark.dal.nomadi…
