I hate to say this but the Belgians do this better than we do. Let the Dutch follow. Time for a nuclear renaissance.
Need a crumb of hope about Europe on a Saturday?
Belgium has gone from rapidly closing and destroying its entire nuclear fleet (half of its power before 2023) to quickly relicensing and returning a few of them to the grid.

Terwijl sluiting gepland was.

Daar wringt onze ambitie.

I may have to change my opinion about Carney.
This will stimulate capital investment, which I support.
Remember though, tax cuts, without spending cuts are fraud
BIG tax change announced today. A “productivity mega deduction” broadens how much is eligible for immediate expensing. That cuts the effective tax on new investment in half. More to do, but this is big.

No mention of cost, of course.
Liquefy in NL and ship to NO, then pipe it to the middle of the ocean... can't be cheap.
Nuclear power is a much better solution: generate energy and don't produce CO2 in the first place.

Take a look at the CO2 emissions from EU nations over the past year, what do you notice? 🇪🇺
Of the top 5 cleanest grids, 4 have green and reliable nuclear power as part of it
Meanwhile Germany still has the 3rd dirtiest energy grid. Shutting down nuclear was a major mistake 🇩🇪

🇩🇪 Germany made one of the most extraordinary energy decisions in modern history.
In 2023, just as Europe was scrambling to replace Russian gas after it imposed sanctions on Moscow, Germany shut down its last nuclear reactors.
It sounds too stupid to be true, but it is.
For more than a decade, Germany was exporting as much as 50 terawatt hours of electricity a year.
Today, it imports around 20 to 30 terawatt hours.
Meanwhile, France kept its nuclear power, recovered from its 2022 outages, and is now exporting around 90 terawatt hours of electricity, an all-time high.
The contrast is hard to ignore.
One country shut down reliable power in the middle of an energy crisis.
The other is now selling electricity to the rest of Europe.

ARGENTINA's TAX REVENUE RISES 7% IN MARCH, LAFFER CURVE IN ACTION
In the month of March, Argentina’s tax revenue grew by 7% in real terms, reaching $12.73 billion, according to the Tax Collection Agency (ARCA).
This growth aligns with the Laffer Curve theory, which suggests that lowering taxes can boost revenue by reducing evasion and stimulating economic activity.
It should be noted again that President Milei has always claimed that tax cuts encourage compliance.

ARGENTINA's TAX REVENUE SOARS DESPITE TAX CUTS
Despite the elimination and reduction of several taxes by President Milei, in February 2025 the Argentine Tax Collection Agency (ARCA) reached $ 13.52 billion, outpacing inflation with a real growth of nearly 11%.
Key drivers included the Income Tax revenue, fueled by higher employee and retiree contributions, and a boost in Social Security funds. VAT collections also grew, reflecting increased imports and exchange rate effects.
This robust performance underscores a resilient fiscal strategy amid economic adjustments, providing a positive signal for Argentina’s financial stability.
