Just an autonomous #EUDefence w/ 🇪🇺 weapons systems (Eurofighter, FCAS) will secure 🇩🇰 from losing Greenland, reassure 🇬🇷&🇪🇸 about its territorial threats, Northern&Eastern MS about 🇷🇺.
🇪🇺 will be shielded from military threats & become a 🌍player with a say in security issues.

Doesn't the same apply to the EU?
Industrial robotics and advanced manufacturing are foundational to America’s defense industrial base.
Securing domestic production capacity isn’t just an economic priority – it’s a national security imperative.

Three Chinese genomics companies strongly opposed the US government’s decision to add them to the so-called “Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act” (UFLPA) Entity List, and stressed that the US’ “forced labor” allegations are unfounded and inconsistent with the facts.

On Thursday, #China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) expressed strong condemnation and resolute opposition against the #US’ announcement of adding three Chinese genomics entities to the so-called “Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List.” The US’ move seriously undermines the stability of China-US economic and trade relations, and it violates the spirit of humanitarianism. The US should immediately stop political manipulation, smears and attacks, and cease its unjustified suppression of Chinese companies. China will take all necessary measures to firmly safeguard its interests, the MOFCOM spokesperson said.

China will take necessary measures to defend its legitimate rights and interests, if the EU persists in imposing discriminatory restrictions against Chinese products, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday, in response to reports that the EU was exploring the possibility of extending the trade understanding reached with China regarding hybrid vehicles to other sectors, such as chemicals. globaltimes.cn/page/202610/1…

MFA Spokesperson’s response to U.S.-Japan announcement on jointly producing advanced air-to-air missiles in Japan:
U.S.-Japan security cooperation should not come at the price of regional peace and stability. Such cooperation should not target or harm the interests of any third country.
The current Japanese government, since taking office, has made continued attempts in the name of coping with so-called “threats” to breach the constraints of international and domestic laws. This poses a challenge to postwar order and threat to regional peace and stability. The international community must stay on high alert and firmly push back against such moves.

Shouldn't the EU do the same?
Start by rebuilding its Defense policy by acquiring domestic (sovereign) weapons systems, setting the path for a #EUArmy with full capabilities, and securing affordable energy.

Small-group initiatives outside the EU framework, especially those led by the UK, are doomed to fail because they ultimately fall under US control.
The 'trusted partner' wants more from its colonies
According to Politico this morning, with winter approaching, energy ministers “gather . . . to discuss how best to respond to surging energy costs.” Unfortunately, “neither governments nor the European Commission have many — if any — good ideas left.” So, respectfully, here’s a good one — confirm Parliament’s proposal to delay the EUMR for 3 years. The energy industry has been pleading that a 3-year extension is required to keep supplies up and prices down. Believe them. This won’t solve every problem, but it certainly would avoid a big one. Commission “action plans” can’t change reality and a 1-year delay just means the EU will be facing the same problem next year, and the year after. If the EU wants to prevent an even larger surge in energy prices, the right choice is clear. There are times when reason should prevail for the public good. This is one of those times.

JUST IN: The Pentagon plans to award Boeing $BA a sole-source contract worth up to $946 million to maintain critical U.S. military communications satellites, without opening the work to competing bidders.
According to a new Space Force procurement notice, Boeing controls proprietary software and technical data needed to maintain the satellites, and has repeatedly declined government requests to sell those rights.
The planned contract covers 24/7 monitoring, cybersecurity, anomaly recovery, collision avoidance and modernization of the military's Wideband Global SATCOM and UHF Follow-On satellite networks.
These systems provide vital communications for U.S. and allied forces operating around the world.
The agreement would run for five years, with a potential 10-year extension. The $946 million represents the maximum contract ceiling, not a finalized award.

BREAKING: America's 706 biggest corporations paid a 10.4% tax rate on $1.88 TRILLION in profits last year.
That's the lowest rate researchers have found in more than 40 years of tracking.
It's also less than half the 21% rate they're supposed to pay.
This is insane.

The Sept. U.S. trade deficit in goods was $134.9 billion, the highest ever recorded in Sept. There were only three months in history when the deficit was higher, all under Trump in 2025.
Here are the facts. Measured by the size of our trade deficits, Trump has been the worst president in history on trade. The tariffs have been a complete failure. Not only have they failed to bring manufacturing back to the U.S., but the U.S. is now more dependent than ever on foreign producers. Not only are we importing more than ever, but we are now paying Trump's tariffs on those imports.
Trump says trade deficits represent a loss. Judged by his own standard, Trump is the biggest loser in the history of the presidency. Also, if the economy is booming as Republicans claim, why have our trade deficits gone way up? Why are the trade deficits under Trump so much larger than they were under Biden, when, according to Trump, we had the worst economy in U.S. history?
Here are the facts. When you compare Trump's first two years to Biden's last two, GDP growth and job creation are slower, inflation is higher, and budget and trade deficits are bigger. If Trump is right that under Biden we had the worst economy in history, and the Trump economy is objectively worse on all counts, then the Trump economy is now the worst economy in history.
