Starting date around next winter/fall 2023. 2 year postdoc / 3 year PhD. We would like to extend our study of sensorimotor control by investigating the roles of tactile and auditory inputs. More details to come soon. Please get in touch / retweet. Come with us in Southern France!
A fact for some stats: one ball was not enough for KD, The beard and Russ when they were on the same team. One ball seemed to be enough for Lebron and teammates, 'just like' MJ and teammates...
Replying to @LabSomato
GREAT @LabSomato! As you know, WL (from Norway) was the one with DREAMED tactile sensations despite her neuropathy (see our latest publication). I can't wait to see how impaired is her sense of touch. BTW, she feels pain too in her dreams. And IW felt temperature in dreams...
Congrats @IshanJCHAUHAN for initiating and leading this work during covid/undergrad, taking it all the way with coauthors Jonathan Cole @BournemouthUniv and Alain Berthoz #CollegeDeFrance
Now back to dreams that @OlympiquedeMarseille and #EquipeDeFrance win it all ;-)
We found that disabled individuals dreamed about several activities (mentioned in line “Other” in the Table) which could not be physically performed by participants at the time of the experiment (some activities, marked with a 1, were never physically performed).
Of course the human brain can deal with that, and it does not even influence peripersonal space. Adaptation of 3D, unconstrained arm movements was clearly revealed by a large after-effect, on each participant. 2/3
Always fascinated that we can learn without consciously perceiving errors when a perturbation is gradually introduced. With @Ch_Bourdin & @YannCoello, we asked: Can you adapt your reaching arm movements when you are gradually rotating more and more? @SciReports 1/3
In contrast, here are the reachability judgments, rather systematically in the same direction. They may reflect a default response to large motor errors.

Here are the error-reduction curves and after-effects showing specific adaptation
Wondering how I will dress up for tonight's talk on Movement, Vision and Proprioception. Like an MVP .;-)?
Will start at 9.45pm in France for the Penn State Action Club about patients with somatosensory or callosal abnormalities. Come interact! (Zoom link sites.google.com/site/sarleg…)
A new study by the Woolcock, together with the University of Technology and the University of Sydney, has uncovered that while working from home in pyjamas during the #COVID19 pandemic did not lower productivity, it was linked to poorer mental health.
