Da Nang, Vietnam 🇻🇳 There is a typhoon happening at sea, and today it has been raining all day. So here are some pictures with better weather! #DaNang #Vietnam

I lost my GoPro cover swimming in Cheow Lan Lake. Which tells you two things. The current is stronger than it looks. And I was having far too much fun to notice until it was gone. Khao Sok’s floating bungalows are one of the best things to do in southern Thailand.

People think Dublin is just drunk people and bars. I lived there. It’s not all like that. Skip the Book of Kells queue and go to Collins Barracks. Get a pint at the Porterhouse. And take the bus; your legs will thank you. bit.ly/4BnB779

When a tuk-tuk driver in Bangkok offers to take you to the Big Buddha, ignore them. They’ll claim it’s closed and take you somewhere else. Tell a driver you want Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen instead. It’s free. faheyjamestravel.com/4-day-i…

Three of the best things to do in Dublin are free. St Stephen’s Green. Phoenix Park. The National Botanical Garden, where the glasshouses feel like the Amazon. Save your money for the Guinness Storehouse. bit.ly/3Wo3GBr

Driving along the south coast of Spain, I kept seeing Morocco across the water. I didn’t go. Big group, no time. The ferry from Tarifa to Tangier takes about an hour. If you’re in Cádiz, make time. bit.ly/4dMQs7l

I’ll be honest, the food in Riga was nearly always meat, potatoes and veg. The soups saved it. Pea soup at Province. Borscht at LIDO. 7 things I learned after 3 days in Riga 👇 bit.ly/4i39AiE

Irish people love the Costa del Sol. I can’t believe more of us aren’t talking about Cádiz. Far fewer crowds, golden sand, and dunes I ran up and down like a child again. To me, it was far better 👇 bit.ly/3Wu0unQ

Riga’s Cat House has two cats on the roof, tails pointed straight at the guild building next door. The owner was refused membership. This was his revenge. He was eventually forced to turn them round. The grudge lives on in the name.

Flew out of Dublin on Paddy’s Day. Ended up the first ones on the dance floor in a Latvian folk club, surrounded by locals. By the end of the night, everyone was up. My 3 days in Riga, the good, the dark and the samey food 👇 bit.ly/4dZDJhC

Haven’t been here in a while… Is it a ghost town now, bloggers?

Thailand is probably my favourite country to explore so far. If you get to the capital, here’s a 4-day guide to consider. There’s loads to do. I didn’t get back to Bangkok on my last trip, but it’s one of the most fun, exciting, and fast-paced cities I can think of. #Thailand

6 months travelling Southeast Asia over the last year. Vietnam and Thailand. Not every day was perfect. But the good days were better than anything I get at home 🇹🇭🇻🇳

Just finished 3 incredible months in Thailand. Didn’t think I could love this country more, but I do. The beaches. The people. The way life just feels easier here. Hard to leave, if I’m honest 🇹🇭

Back in Ao Nang for the next few weeks and looking forward to exploring it again this time. Has anyone been here before? Any spots nearby worth checking out? Haven’t made it to the Emerald Pools yet 👀

Spent the last 3 weeks in Khao Lak and it’s nearly time to go. What I’ll remember most: endless empty beaches, not a grain of sand out of place, and hidden coves you can have all to yourself. Slow, quiet, exactly what I needed. Back to Ao Nang on Monday.

I always set a strict budget before a trip. Then I land in Thailand… and it goes out the window. It’s never stupid spending. It’s the island tour, the Thai massage, the sunset boat I didn’t plan. Technically I go over budget. But I’ve never once regretted the experience.
