I wish to convey my heartfelt appreciation for this precious distinction and to reaffirm to the Senegalese people my unwavering commitment to serve my country with dedication, in a profoundly republican spirit. I also want to thank my family, my husband, my children, and those who have supported me steadfastly for so long. Long live the Republic, Long live Senegal!
ALT The presidential election of March 24, 2024, is now a thing of the past in Senegal. First and foremost, I would like to congratulate the Diomaye 2024 Coalition and its winning candidate, Bassirou Diomaye FAYE. I wish him every success at the helm of Senegal. I would also like to congratulate our candidate, Prime Minister Amadou Ba, for his courageous determination. Thanks to the Senegalese people, who, in calm and mutual respect, expressed and freely made their choice. I express my deepest gratitude to the Osez l’Avenir activists and particularly to the populations of the Podor Municipality and those of Fouta for brilliantly ensuring our candidate's victory from the first round. Our fight for a better Senegal will continue! 🇸🇳

ALT On the eve of the New Year, His Excellency, President of the Republic Macky SALL, in accordance with the Constitution and true to the republican tradition, has granted clemency to one thousand three hundred and seventy-two (1372) individuals convicted of various offenses and held in various penal institutions. The beneficiaries of this act of mercy include first-time offenders and inmates demonstrating signs of rehabilitation. The Head of State thus provides a chance for a certain category of citizens, temporarily in conflict with the law, to reunite with their families and take advantage of this granted opportunity to reintegrate into society.
