If we give FPA to direct RN to NP or PA after graduation. Why can’t we do that for residents and #unmatched med students? #MedTwitter why aren’t we talking about this?

A limited license to stay in the clinical setting is the right thing to do! Are you enjoying that your fellow docs are left with no other choice but to work for Uber, Lyft, and construction company? Medicine is too toxic! It doesn’t have to be this way! Be a mentor!

Dear PRIMARY CARE societies! Instead of wasting your time and money in destroying the 8K MDs/DOs who just recently went unmatched, we can all agree with over 6K clinical hrs, there is plenty these docs can do! This system is out of touch! Protect your own! Put the ego aside!

I'm done. I no longer believe the Republican Party can be saved. The vitriolic rhetoric is inspiring violent radicals. I'm quitting the GOP. And I hope more do the same.

I'm a lawyer and I don't tend to read all that boilerplate. Thank you for reminding me to check what I am signing when getting medical care. You never know these days.

As President of Orange County Chapter of @cafp_familydocs, I’m deeply saddened to report the devastating loss of life of a beloved family physician due to a terrible hate crime, who worked not only in the county in which we live, but from the practice we go to & love.#Condolences

Congrats to newly minted physicians. You’ll soon learn a few harsh realities — medical societies and the hospital complex are actively depreciating your degree.

While they serve vital roles in our health systems, NPs and PAs cannot fill the gaps in the U.S. physician supply and may lead to higher health care costs. Physician-led care teams are vital to maintaining the health of our health systems. spr.ly/6010zyQ0M #StopScopeCreep

As a physician and a leader, what do you think we should be warning the younger generation going to medschool and before?
The fact that you refer to yourself and your physician colleagues as a “Provider” is part of the problem. NPPs have a huge role to play in caring for patients. That role is not the same as a physician. Different training, different levels of expertise, and very different liability

There is no legal need to be a neurosurgeon to do brain surgeries either. All med school is a waste!!!

I hate the word provider!!! Do you call cops, police provider or lawyers, criminal justice provider, pilots, airline provider? Stop with provider. I am a physician! Thanks for attending my Ted talk! #MedTwitter

I posted this to highlight the time sacrifice involved. Y’all work so so hard. And you should be better valued for it. The significant investment of intense learning and training needs to be appreciated outside of medicine.

Congratulations to the resident doctors at UVM, UMass and Stanford who have voted, overwhelmingly, to unionize. These doctors believe its unfair to their patients and themselves when they are forced to work up to 80 hours a week at very inadequate pay. They're right.

Wait- you mean that $4K weekend course didn't adequately and intimately teach you about the anatomical intricacies of the upper face? Might want to get your $ back, or better yet… go to med school and residency instead. STOP HARMING PATIENTS!

5 consults today on-call from urgent cares. All from NPs. And all we’re asking how to work up a patient that any MD would’ve known what to do. As a specialist, why can’t I require consults called to me to only be from fellow physicians? #MedTwitter #scope – at South Bosque, TX
