This year's reminder to check any old devices with lithion batteries (especially if they've been stuck in storage). These DS handhelds that have been stuck in boxes thankfully don't have swollen batteries.

One thing that my main NES assembler, ASM6 lacked compared to other assemblers is a segment usage for how much data my ROM takes, so I wrote a bash script that does that. #gamedev

I was able to preserve all my saves that still have good batteries and wrote a status report on it, a box that I can finally tick off and sigh in relief. I might even have an incentive to go back and play them since I can now backup and restore save data.
