Sometimes the enemy doesn’t have to tear down what God is building in our lives. He just has to wear us down enough that we walk away from it ourselves. And sometimes that looks like discouragement. Distractions. Comparing ourselves to someone else. Pouring our hearts into something, then wondering if any of it is making a difference. I know that feeling. When you’re trying to follow God, but you’re tired, your feelings are hurt, and that little voice starts whispering, “Why even bother?” That’s when we need to pause and remember Who called us in the first place. A hard day doesn’t mean we heard God wrong. Slow progress doesn’t mean He isn’t working. And being tired doesn’t mean we’ve failed. Sometimes we need to rest, take His hand, and let Him remind us why we started. Maybe today you need the same reminder I do: Don’t make a permanent decision in a moment of discouragement. Pray before you walk away. Bring Him the doubts, the tears, and the things you don’t understand. Let His voice speak louder than everything telling you to quit. You may not see what your obedience is doing yet. Someone may be finding hope because you kept showing up. Something may be taking root beneath the surface.
