10/27/26 Gap Check
Market Backdrop • Indexes mixed/modestly higher into the open after Monday’s tech-led rally (S&P +0.7%,
Nasdaq +0.8%): S&P ~+0.3–0.4%, Nasdaq stronger on continued AI sentiment. • Rates/dollar: 10-year ~4.99% little changed; dollar mixed ahead of the Fed’s two-day meeting (decision Wednesday). •
Leading sector: AI/tech and memory/storage extending Monday’s bounce (Anthropic IPO filing + earnings optimism); oil softer.
Portfolio gaps ≥1% • $MU +~2% gap up — memory/AI supply optimism and sector rebound after Monday’s gains. • $SNDK +~1.5% — same memory/storage follow-through. NFA.
As you can tell, this is from the Monday close so some of it may not line up with what you’re seeing this morning.

Wow! Another day with no upgrades/downgrades/initiations for my holdings. This is interesting because we are in the midst of earning season.

Most people fail at trading because they don’t want to confront themselves.
What do I mean?
When you’re in a trade, your mind has to make countless decisions:
• What do I do when the market turns?
• How do I move my SL as price goes up and down?
• How do I book profits?
• What if the market touches my SL before going up?
• Should I lower my SL even further in case price touches it?
• Should I cut my profits short, or will the market take them away if I don't?
At every moment, your mind runs through all these scenarios and more.
But instead of acknowledging them, you make some random decision, forget it, and move on.
Next trade, same thing. Random decisions, and you move on again.
You keep making the same mistakes and never fix them.
So, how do you fix this?
You have two choices:
1. Take an entry, set your SL and TP and leave the screen or
2. Write down what you would do if these scenarios come up
Understand this: you can’t reach profitability if you aren’t sure about your actions.
