How @EthenaPay streams rewards to its users with Merkl.
Ethena Pay users get up to 6% rewards on their dollar balances, paid daily. But each user is owed a different amount every day, based on their balance, their tier and the USDe base rate of the day.
To run that at scale, Ethena Pay plugged its reward logic into Merkl. Ethena calculates each user's rewards, and Merkl turns them into daily USDe distributions, fully inside the Ethena Pay app.
1,600+ users less than a month after launch. $6.5M+ in user balances and $3M+ in cumulative card spend, with only a fraction of the waitlist onboarded so far!

look the foundational problem with ethereum protocol design is that most of the people designing the protocol don't actually use ethereum themselves. you can't fix the right things if you don't use your own fucking product. you don't have enough skin in the game if you don't personally depend on the system you're designing & stand to lose money when it breaks. i understand, everything looks great from an ivory tower lol. things look very different when you're actually on the ground dealing with the consequences. if you don't use ethereum yourself but still think you're qualified to design its protocol, you're playing god with a system you don't have to live with and whose consequences you don't have to suffer.

I don't get why teams winding down build redemption contracts to return treasury to holders.
Just snapshot balances and airdrop the treasury pro rata (@merkl_xyz makes it super straightforward)
Worried about dead wallets? They won't claim anyway, so you can easily reallocate their share to the addresses that did.
Worried people dump to zero after the snapshot? The distribution is already fixed and your project is winding down, why would you care?
