ZAI JUST BUILT AN AI LAWYER
It is called GLM-Legal and it came out today
Built on GLM-5.3-Flash and made only for legal work
What it does
• Reviews contracts and suggests exact edits
• Finds contradictions across case documents
• Plans privacy rules before a product launch
Results
• 19.2% all pass rate on Harvey LAB, 12.5 points above its base model
• Matches top closed models on LegalBench, says Z.ai
How to get it
1. Read the blog at z.ai/blog/glm-legal
2. Apply for API access from the Z.ai announcement post
3. Or wait for it in AutoClaw, their desktop agent app
Would you trust an AI with your contracts?
Introducing GLM-Legal

THE BEST AI MODEL STILL FAILS HALF OF REAL CODING TASKS
Artificial Analysis just dropped its FrontierCode 1.1 leaderboard
It checks if real open source maintainers would actually merge the code. Passing tests is not enough
• Claude Opus 5.5 leads at 52%
• GPT-6.1 Sol and Claude Fable 5.1 both score 49% at $0.81 per task
• That is under a tenth of the cost of the top Anthropic models
• Best open weights model is MiMo-V2.6-Pro at 45%
• DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and Kimi K3 are right behind at 44%
• Cheapest is GPT-6 Luna at $0.09 per task with 42%
9 of the 100 tasks were not solved by any model
Full results at artificialanalysis.ai/evalua…
Which model are you using for coding right now?
We're launching our leaderboard for FrontierCode 1.1, a private evaluation from Cognition that tests models on completing coding tasks in a way that would actually get merged by maintainers of real-world repositories
@cognition announced FrontierCode in June 2026 and updated it to version 1.1 in July. Cognition built the dataset with open source maintainers who spent more than 40 hours per task. Each task requires the agent to make a change to a real open source repository, then checks both unit tests and qualitative tests for what maintainers would require to merge the change.
We run FrontierCode 1.1 Main, the primary 100-task set of the benchmark's 150 tasks, using our Stirrup open source reference harness for apples-to-apples comparisons across models. All tasks are private to avoid contamination. Each attempt is graded with both blocking and non-blocking criteria. An attempt that fails any blocking check scores zero, and one that passes them all scores between 70% and 100%.
Unlike other coding evaluations, FrontierCode has a more holistic view of success based on real usage. Models need to pass unit tests, but are also assessed on behaviors like making excessive changes and large diffs, modifying files outside the relevant scope, or adding unhelpful tests. We think this approach is valuable in the current context: models are now very capable at coding tasks, but their changes can still require substantial cleanup before a maintainer would merge them.
Key takeaways:
➤ Leading models still fail more than 40% of the time: Claude Opus 5.5 (max with fallback) leads at a score of 52% after passing blockers in 58% of its attempts. Nine of the 100 tasks were not passed in any attempt by any of the models we evaluated for launch
➤ The top of the leaderboard is tightly packed: nine models from six labs score between 43% and 52%. MiMo-V2.6-Pro is the leading open weights model at 45%, followed by DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (max) and Kimi K3 (max) at 44%
➤ GPT-6.1 Sol (max) offers the strongest performance for its cost: At $0.81 per task it scores 49%, matching Claude Fable 5.1 (max with fallback). This means it achieves similar performance to leading Anthropic models, at less than a tenth of the cost per task
Thank you to @silasalberti, @ybenpan, @cl571128, and the rest of the team at Cognition for building FrontierCode and collaborating with us to bring it to Artificial Analysis - we’re working to add FrontierCode to our coding agent leaderboard very soon.

cloudflare is giving startups up to $350k in credits 💸
most people will see the big number and scroll. don't. the tier most of you can actually get is $10k
the $10k tier:
- bootstrapped or self-funded
- under $1M raised
what it covers (valid 1 year):
- hosting for your app, backend and databases
- file storage
- ai on open models (capped at $2.5k on this tier)
- websites, images and video
free on every tier: 3 enterprise domains, ddos + bot protection, cdn, ssl
building ai apps or agents? that covers a lot of your hosting for a year
bigger tiers ($100k / $350k) need a partner vc behind you
who qualifies:
- incorporated in the last 10 years
- for-profit, building a tech product
- live website + business email on your own domain (no gmail)
- active linkedin, x or github
- first time applying
review takes up to 48 hours
the fine print:
1. you need a card on file. when the year ends or credits run out, they bill it
2. no extensions
3. no claude here. open models only, and ai gateway isn't covered right now
4. domain registration isn't covered
5. go over a product cap and you pay the overage
6. agencies, consultancies and personal blogs aren't eligible
claude startups gets you the model. cloudflare gets you the infra to host it
what would you build first with $10k of cloudflare credits?

if you don't know how to marketing your product then learn from casinos and prediction markets
they're focking expert on it
how the fock they're able to come up with this kind of idea, I'm focking impressed 👏🫡
Jack Doherty might have made the biggest mistake of his life
Jack (@dohertyjackk) signed a sponsorship deal with Shuffle (a crypto casino) but didn’t fully read the contract
One of the terms is a 6 month ban on posting online
He said he thought it was a joke, but Shuffle is enforcing it
Shuffle CEO (Noah Dummett) just confirmed it’s real and said they’ll stick to the contract even though Jack lawyers are pushing back
Wild times
I don't have a content team, I have 7 Grok bots
They help me run a 66K AI account with no assistant and no agency
Here's what each one does 👇
1. X CEO
The boss, decides what I post and when, pulls ideas from the other 6 and puts the drafts together
I rewrite every draft in my own words
2. Viral Pulse
Tracks which AI posts and articles are blowing up right now, so I know what's working today
3. Launch Radar
Watches for new AI models and tool launches all day and sends me the details
4. Repo Radar
Every Monday morning it sends me the fastest rising AI GitHub repos of the week
5. What I Read On X
Everything I save goes here, it fact-checks it and turns the good ones into drafts
6. Be Like Radar
Finds the person everyone is talking about while the moment is still hot and starts a "be like [person]" draft
7. React Radar
Every 2 hours it finds fresh posts from big accounts worth replying to
What makes it work:
→ one bot, one job
→ they message each other, not just me
→ every number gets checked against a source
→ nothing goes live until I hit post
You don't need one genius bot
You need 7 simple ones that each do one thing well
Save this and send this to your grok bot when you build your own
tried yesterday but didn't get any but today I got my grokbot email ☺️
how you can get it too:
- Ask your GrokBot: "Is [email protected] free?"
- Say "claim it" and approve.
- Ask it to alert you to new mail.
the guy who helped build chatgpt decided chat was the wrong idea, built an AI that doesn't talk at all, and just raised $870M at a $7.5B valuation 3 weeks after launch
- be @CompleteSkeptic
- full name diogo miguel moitinho de almeida
- raised in manila, philippines
- 2008: wins bronze at the international math olympiad for the philippines
- becomes a researcher at google brain
- quits google brain
- takes 18 months off
- travels the world. meditates. plays a ridiculous amount of video games
- 2020: joins openai
- works on RLHF and InstructGPT
- RLHF = training AI on how humans rate its answers
- the technique behind chatgpt
- helps build chatgpt
- co-authors the gpt-4 technical report
- most people would coast on that resume forever
- but he thinks AI got great at talking to humans, not at doing real work inside software
- pitches sam altman on AI that software calls, not people
- sam tells him to go work on it
- he assumes anthropic must already be building it
- they weren't
- thinks the whole project will take a week
- it takes years
2024
- co-founds TypeSafe AI with erik gafni and sasha sheng
- goes into stealth for 2 years
- builds a model that gives up writing text completely
sep 15 2026
- launches Jev
- named after jevons paradox. make something cheaper and people use way more of it
- no essays. no chat. you ask a typed question, it gives back a choice, a score or a probability
- fast and cheap enough to run inside other software, thousands of times a day
- up to 100x faster and cheaper than other frontier models (their claim)
- $40M seed led by DCVC at around a $200M valuation
- launch video goes viral
- copycats show up almost immediately
- cloudflare ships its own open-weight rival called clef
oct 9 2026
- raises ~$870M series A led by a16z
- sequoia joins in
- valuation: $7.5 billion
- that's ~37x the seed valuation in under a month
- about a quarter of the fortune 500 already using it (company claim)
- his tweet: "it's been 3 weeks. we would like to sleep now"
- his bio says he co-created RLHF/chatgpt and is "now trying to right the wrong"
he helped teach AI to talk to humans
then decided most AI shouldn't be talking to humans at all
18 months gaming
2 years in stealth
3 weeks from $200M to $7.5B
the next AI boom might not look like a chatbot
it might look like software quietly making millions of tiny decisions
