Magyar's update on the Air Defense fall: The USF Birds finally got that Gelendzhik air-defense noisemaker that had been launching missiles on August 8, firing six missiles between 09:25 and 12:51. It had been a nuisance long enough. The S-400 position in Gelendzhik, on the coast right next to the catacombs, burned and popped for three hours. Four more elements of the worm's air defense were also destroyed during the night of August 8–9, all on the territory of russia. Three vessels of russia's shadow fleet were hunted down in the Black Sea (one oil tanker and two cargo ships). The USF Air Defense Fall will continue. 🔥 S-400 "Triumf" Air Defense System position, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai, russia – 413th Separate Regiment, USF "Raid" 🔥 Tor Air Defense System, Pudovyi, Rostov Oblast, russia – 1st Separate Center, USF 🔥 Pantsir-S1 Anti-Aircraft Missile and Gun System, Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, russia – 1st Separate Center, USF 🔥 Podlyot-K1 Radar, Holovativka, Rostov Oblast, russia – 1st Separate Center, USF 🔥 Kasta 2E2 Radar, Latonovo, Rostov Oblast, russia – 1st Separate Center, USF 🔥 1 oil tanker, Black Sea – 413th Separate Regiment, USF "Raid" 🔥 2 cargo ships, Black Sea – 413th Separate Regiment, USF "Raid", 412th Brigade, USF "Nemesis" We will stand. USF MoLoCHKa in action: three guided missiles from a Pantsir-S1 SAM/gun system fired at the Bird in one go, but the shadow fleet tub was hunted down anyway. +12 vessels from what remains of the shadow fleet were struck by USF Birds in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov during August 1–8 as part of USF Operation “MoLoCHKa.” Since the launch of USF Operation “MoLoCHKa” (July 6–August 8, 2026), the Birds have successfully struck 218 vessels: 134🚢 in the Sea of Azov and 84🚢 in the Black Sea. A tub in the Sea of Azov has become an endangered species, while shipping through the Kerch Strait has been blocked indefinitely since July 10 — now for 30 days — until further notice, courtesy of the Freedom-Loving Ukrainian Bird. Setup for traders: I wouldn’t take a position in worm grain or other commodities, even in anticipation of a crazy premium. Neither long nor short. There is a high probability of “natural attrition.” Operation “MoLoCHKa” will continue even after the promised 221. We will stand. Moscow will fall.

At 7:15 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching the third round of strikes this week against Iran after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces blatantly attacked M/V GFS Galaxy, a Cyprus-flagged container ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz. A civilian crew member is missing and the vessel is unable to continue the journey due to an onboard fire and significant engineroom damage. Iran was provided yet another opportunity to demonstrate adherence to the Memorandum of Understanding after being held accountable for earlier attacks on commercial vessels but has again failed. In response, the United States is imposing a heavy cost by continuing to degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the strait. The strikes are being carried out at the direction of the Commander in Chief.

🚨🚨BREAKING -- The International Criminal Court (ICC) is pursuing five new arrest warrants for Israeli officials including finance minister Bezalel Smotrich and national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli media reports. Smotrich's ministry of finance owns an arms factory in Britain named Pearson Engineering, which was recently awarded a £10m contract by the Ministry of Defence. "A diplomatic source said the other senior officials are settlement minister Orit Struck and two military personnel", according to Haaretz. It remains unclear who the military personnel are. The UK government allowed the IDF's former chief of staff Herzi Halevi and its air force commander Tomer Bar to secretly visit Britain amid the Gaza genocide, with the Foreign Office giving them with "special mission" immunity to protect them from prosecution for war crimes.

This is huge and confirms that the notion that the Saudis were quietly backing the US war on Iran was a complete myth. It never made sense to start with: given the eminently predictable devastating consequences the war has had on Saudi Arabia, why on earth would they have signed up for it? It also confirms that the Saudis - and, I suspect, many other actors in the region - no longer see US military presence on their soil as a a security guarantee, but instead as a vector of insecurity. Which is another way in which Iran is winning strategically. Many people were wondering what possible strategic calculus Iran could have in "mindlessly bombing all their neighbors," as many were putting it. Well, the whole point was precisely so those neighbors would do exactly what the Saudis just did. Q.E.D.

🚨 Washington Post: Iran Damaged 228 U.S. Military Structures — Far More Than Officially Acknowledged 🔸A Washington Post analysis of more than 100 Iranian-released satellite images, verified against European Union satellite data found that Iranian strikes damaged or destroyed at least 228 structures and pieces of equipment across 15 U.S. military sites in the Middle East since February 28 — significantly more than publicly acknowledged by the U.S. government. 🔸More than half of the damage reviewed by The Post occurred at the 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and the three bases in Kuwait. It also reports Bahrain and Kuwait were “two of the hardest hit, possibly because they permitted attacks from their territory, including the use of HIMARS.” 🔸Targets included hangars, barracks, fuel depots, Patriot missile defense systems, radar and communications equipment, and a satellite dish at the U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. The 5th Fleet headquarters has since relocated to Tampa, Florida. 🔸“The Iranian attacks were precise. There are no random craters indicating misses,” retired Marine colonel Mark Cancian told the Post. 🔸Experts said the U.S. underestimated Iran’s targeting capabilities and failed to adapt to modern drone warfare, burning through 53% of its THAAD interceptors and 43% of its Patriot interceptors. 🔸 “No Iranian imagery was found to have been manipulated,” the Post said. 🔸The outlet noted its review “represents only a partial count of the damage,” as two major commercial satellite providers, Vantor and Planet, complied with U.S. government requests to limit or withhold imagery of the region since early in the war.
