I did it! Diarmuid died when our youngest was 7. I thought I’d never cope alone with two teenage boys and a small girl. But that small girl just turned 18. I can’t believe I got them all to adulthood and they’re just amazing. 27, 25 and 18 now. 😊

You always know when it’s an American politician speaking. They never ever even consider the loss of lives to innocent children. It’s always about the damn troops who SIGNED UP and chose to kill innocents abroad.
If Donald Trump had chosen diplomacy over war:
13 Americans would still be alive today.
Billions of dollars could have been spent on things Americans need.
Prices would be lower here at home.
And our standing in the world would be much better off.
War comes at a cost and we will be paying it for years to come.

While scrolling through threads
On my very first day
I saw a sweet puppy
Who’d just passed away.
I clicked on the heart
To send him some love.
Then I noticed another
Sweet bundle of fluff.
She too had just passed
From this fleeting life. (1/3)
Her human was sad
So I offered a like.
Oh no, here’s another.
A sweet furry face.
His human’s in tears
In a lifeless embrace.
My heart is now heavy
But what can I do?
Not offer comfort?

A goat in any context is attempting to solve a problem you didn't know you had.
The problem is: there is organic matter within reach that has not yet been eaten.
This is not a defect. This is the entire point of a goat. A goat is a biological processing unit that accepts as input any plant material in its approximate vicinity and outputs milk, meat, fibre, and fertiliser. It does this on steep slopes, in arid conditions, in rocky terrain, and in weather that has driven other species into cover.
The Boer goat. The Anglo-Nubian. The Cashmere. The Toggenburg. The Nubian. Different breeds, same fundamental operating principle: point goat at problem, retrieve protein.
The Amalfi Coast is maintained by goats. The Moroccan argan forests are maintained by goats (goats climb the argan trees; this is not a joke; they sit in them). The rocky hillsides of Greece have been managed by goats since before the Parthenon had a roof.
There are environments on this planet that produce food through exactly one mechanism.
The mechanism is the goat.
We are trying to replace this with a vat of engineered mycoprotein in a climate-controlled warehouse in the Netherlands.
The goat is in the tree.

This was just 2 months after the so-called “creation” of Israel when the Brits and Americans decided it was their right to give Palestinian land to people who had no right to it. The Israelis immediately got to work on slaughtering Palestinians and Britain ans the US allowed it
New documents have surfaced revealing new details about Israel's conduct during the 1948 War in which it ethnically cleansed 750,000 Palestinians from their homes.
The documents confirm Israeli leaders carried out more war crimes & premeditated massacres than previously thought.
A July 1948 order was sent to Israeli commanders in the north titled, "conduct in captured villages where there is a population." The order stipulated that:
▶️ After an Arab village was captured, identification certificates were to be issued to the inhabitants. If someone transferred their certificate to another person, both were to be shot.
▶️ If someone did not report on time for military inspection, they were to be shot and their home was to be blown up.
▶️ If an "outside Arab" was found in a village, he was to be shot immediately.
▶️ In general, the rule was to shoot "every 10th man" in a captured village where outsiders were found.
▶️ All the men in any household in which property stolen from Jews was found were to be executed.
▶️ In Arab a-Zabah, a Bedouin community in the Lower Galilee, another order stated: "every Arab among the Zabahim is to be killed."
▶️ Another July 1948 order instructed troops to mount a search for Arabs who might have hidden in the Mount Turan area of the Lower Galilee, after the site had already been conquered. The order was: "Kill anyone who is hiding."
▶️ Another order read: "Arabs in a small number are wandering about in the [captured] villages ... the area is to be cleansed of Arabs ... every Arab who will be met with is to be annihilated."

Woke up this morning with one side of my face swollen up. Got an emergency appt with GP who said it’s an infection of the saliva glands. Got antibiotics. As I was getting into my car I lashed the other side of my face off the the car door so now that side is swollen too. 🙄
