Nigel Farage says he's going to fund Reform's 65 point economic plan, by removing PIP from those who suffer from mild anxiety
Sally Nugent doesn't bother to mention that it would be highly unlikely you'd get PIP for mild anxiety

These are extraordinary numbers and underlines the power of art and culture.
That's 20,000 people coming to discover and rediscover Ipswich.
Once again, congratulations and thank you to the team who brought the Hay Wain home to Suffolk.
We are so proud.

Cllr Sam Jourent has resigned of leader at Essex County Council and Cllr Martin Murray has resigned of leader at Staffordshire
Two Reform council leaders stepping down within 24 hours.
Farage cannot control his own party. It's in a steep free fall with no pilot.

Just a casual reminder that Germans who “didn’t bother to vote” in 1932 didn’t get a chance again until 1946, after Hitler’s death. — There’s a lesson there.

Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

Seems that the real world has finally caught up with little boy Boam
Investigations, carried out ahead of the meetings, concluded Boam failed to treat former council monitoring officer Lauren Haslam with respect and, seperately, brought the authority into disrepute with posts about a row over bus routes.
Boam has denied breaching the code of conduct and called the complaint process "a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money".
Council reports said Boam had declined to apologise in both cases, or engage with the investigations.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

Just Rishi Sunak earning £6265/ hour advising Goldman Sachs and £7729/hour consulting to Microsoft... while sitting as a backbench MP.
The median UK salary is £41k/year. Sunak earns that in just over five hours consulting for Microsoft.
What service is he providing, exactly?

Yesterday, I was barred from entering the West Bank by Israeli officials, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza.
We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.

🇬🇧 In Normandy, Montgomery had “Hitler” and “Rommel” at his headquarters.
They were his puppies!
On July 6, 1944, exactly one month after D-Dayn the British general was photographed holding the two dogs at his mobile headquarters in France.
Look behind him in the photograph: a cage of canaries. They traveled with him, too.
While Montgomery directed Allied land operations in Normandy, his headquarters accommodated a small menagerie, with two particularly provocative names.
The names aren’t a modern joke. Both appear in the Imperial War Museums’ original photograph caption.
