⚡️JUST IN: The SEC has approved a temporary, conditional “Innovation Exemption” allowing limited trading of tokenized U.S. stocks on certain automated market makers (AMMs).
The initiative will help the SEC study how these on-chain venues operate and inform future rules.
The SEC says tokenization could reduce costs, improve transparency and expand liquidity, particularly for assets that are harder to trade.
