When someone tells you there is no such thing as truth, they're asking you not to believe them. So don't.

Next time a communist tells you, “We only had muskets when the 2nd amendment was written.”, ask them how many mosques we had when the 1st amendment was written.

Despair is a sin. Blackpilling is a sin. One of the most powerful truths revealed in Jesus Christ is that God uses suffering and hardship to bring His kingdom. We’re called to do the hard things and do them in hope. We cannot shy away from a difficult situation in despair.

Last night, pro-abortion extremists vandalized our 'No on Prop 1' sign, stole another, and egged our house. The abortion cult is a violent hate group that can't tolerate dissent. But, no amount of mob tactics will stop me from advancing the cause of life in Idaho. Vote NO on Prop 1.

Entitlement reform is the ultimate 3rd rail, everyone knows it's necessary, but no one wants to touch it. We've built a tool that allows you model out Social Security reform and see the impact against GDP. Refund all payments with interest? Sure thing! End immediately or with a 30 year glide path? Check! Safety net for existing retirees? Customizable. Here is one scenario, what is yours?

A 3 year comparison of H-1B filing requests from Idaho employers reveals some interesting data: - Micron leads the way with over 60% of the filings. - State universities (U of I, ISU, and BSU) are significant contributors as well, 198 filings over the 3 years.

So many stats and facts are wrong in ways that we don't imagine. This post from ESPN came across my YT feed, and I was shocked and entertained to see that the the Browns, a team that has existed for 80 years, have never had a QB win even three 10-win seasons worth of games. But almost immediately I remembered that Otto Graham had nearly a decade of successful seasons, so I then assumed the stat must be Super Bowl era only. However it is quite easy to find online that both Brian Sipe and Bernie Kosar had 50+ wins as Browns in the 70's and 80's. So is the graphic just wrong? Well, yes, but not how I thought. In 1996 Art Modell moved all of the personnel from the Browns to Baltimore to create the Ravens. The Browns then returned as an expansion team in 1999. If you only count from 1999-2026 then Baker is in fact the winningest QB in franchise history. Still quite pathetic for a 27 year stretch, but dramatically less than if the period dated back to WW2. But wait, there's more. The passing yards and TDs in the graphic are not for the 1999-present Browns, because if they were Baker would be #1 in all of them easily. They're for the full franchise history. The graphic is mixing data sets for no apparent reason. But guess what, they're ALSO WRONG! According to footballdb, for the full franchise history Baker is 3rd in passing yards and 4th in TDs. Not 4th and 5th as the graphic shows. So, what's the point of all of this? After all it probably was just an AI generated graphic anyway and most people are aware that AI is a dubious tool for numeric research... I think it's a good reminder that A) ESPN managed to get a single graphic wrong in 3 fundamentally different ways, ESPN sucks. And B) If you see something reductive that seems impossible, there's a good chance you're missing a lot of the story.

So the government is about to engage in a massive deception campaign and bring to bear immense social and legal pressure in an attempt to force conformity to an unnecessary and poorly understood treatment prescribed by a few clearly biased "experts"? Yeah, maybe.
Until now we've been in 'Jan 2020'. If you understood viruses and paid attention it was clear a severe pandemic was coming. Now, it's Feb 2020. The AI disaster is visibly unfolding and anyone not leaning on dumb authorities can see it. Soon it will be March 2020.

Dr. Becky Uranga, author of the recent Idaho Statesman editorial in support of abortion up to the point of birth, positions herself as a “Catholic, pro-life OB-GYN". She's donated nearly $1,000 to D districts and campaigns in the latest cycle. She intentionally uses "pro-life" to sound centrist, thereby giving permission to middle ground voters to adopt her frame, while consistently framing the current law as "extreme". The entire piece is a prime example of weaponized empathy, light on details, heavy on emotional framing all while hijacking language to appear more centrist.

Dario has written that we need to “pace the frontier,” and Sam has agreed. People may be surprised by my response: go ahead. You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement. I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible. But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier. Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want. Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well. So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it. If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

The recent layoffs at the Idaho Statesman are announced within 48 hours of the following pieces: - an official op-ed calling abortion "secular" and claiming churches will flood the Prop 1 contest with "dark money". - a glow piece on the 7 trans activists arrested for trespassing in the governor's office that promotes child abuse. - Another official op-ed by a supposedly pro-life OB-GYN supporting Prop 1. No wonder legacy media is hemorrhaging clicks, dollars, and employees post-USAID.

Buying elections has reached hitherto undreamt of blatancy.
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: President Trump announces he will issue a $5,000 DOLLAR dividend to every adult US citizen if the Republican Party holds the Senate and House in 2026 WOW. Trump says it's similar to a company issuing "cash distributions to its shareholders" "Because our country is making so much money." "Only I can make this promise to you. Here is my promise. If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, like in history we've never had anything like what's happening..." "I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000." That's HUGE.

This is great historical context for a drum @grayzoneintel is constantly beating: Local networks and soft power structures are essential for effecting societal change.
The long-form piece from the GSB newsletter last week, this article highlights the importance of pursuing cultural power and the cultivation of both informal and formal networks. imperativemagazine.com/p/pag…

Always a good sign when a group sues to give voters less information.
The Idaho Supreme Court just ruled that we're not allowed to tell the truth to voters about the extreme abortion initiative on the ballot in November. The left-wing dark money group that sued over the ballot summary worked to ensure that voters wouldn't know the truth-- that they're trying to legalize abortion until nearly birth. And the Idaho Supreme Court is letting them.

DHS has officially confirmed to @BorderHawkNews that the man arrested last week for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Boise is an illegal alien from Mexico. 29-year-old Jose Lozano Flores is accused of abducting the girl while she was paddle boarding in Freedom Park, holding her against her will overnight, and even threatening to take her all the way to Mexico if she told police about the assault. I can not even imagine the horror that this girl went through and the road to recovery that she now faces-- all at the hands of somebody who never should have been in our state in the first place. Every illegal alien in Idaho and all over America needs to be deported.

My feed is inundated with people either failing to read the OpenAI hack report, not understanding what hacking is, intentionally fear-mongering, or all of the above. I'm a big Hanlon's razor advocate, but this is pushing the bounds of believability for simple incompetence.
