NV Energy @NVEnergy spent years telling Nevadans to go solar. People dropped $20k–$40k on panels to cut their bills and take load off the grid. Now the same company rolls out a daily demand charge that solar barely touches, because the meter still sees that 15-minute evening spike when the AC, dryer, and oven hit at once.
You get the kWh credit. You do not get a pass on peak demand. Then your own MyAccount tool prints Current Plan $705 / Daily Demand $1,273 and you are supposed to swallow “this is not a rate hike” and “modest increase for solar customers.”
That is not modest. That is an 80% jump on the same website that is telling everyone else the bill stays about the same.
You begged people onto rooftop solar, collected the PR, then redesigned the bill so the people who actually invested get hit the hardest. Either own that this was the plan or stop calling it rate relief.
