Some powerful words from Directors UK member Matthew Evans in The Observer, on the challenges currently facing UK TV production: ow.ly/Sy1M50SHqXc
Greater action is needed to protect our industry's ecosystem.
ALT The BBC has cut Holby and Doctors, Casualty has fewer episodes planned. Hollyoaks has lost two episodes a week. This firestorm is spreading. Actors are laid off, crews are struggling to find work, and my colleagues are staring into an abyss. We need to work, not just to pay the bills, but to keep developing the stories and the industry.

Would love to know of any female production companies? Directors? Writers? Crew? Proper 😴at the lack of diversity in-front & behind the camera.
I know a lot of female actors wanting to bring stories they identify with to life, inc me 🙋🏼♀️
I’ll start @FilmPretty 👏🏻
