Janhvi Kapoor Takes Responsibility for the #Peddi Controversy🫡. During a conversation with #KaranJohar , #JanhviKapoor opened up about the controversy surrounding the sexualised portrayal of her character in #Peddi. 🗣️ Janhvi admitted that the portrayal was problematic and involved extreme objectification🤝. She also acknowledged concerns about how the film’s narrative could affect society, particularly women😬. She questioned whether she could have done more to challenge the situation on set, admitting that she should have been more vigilant and used her privilege to push for changes. Janhvi also explained that she was trying to address problematic elements as information came to her, while noting that bound scripts and specified camera angles are not always common in South Indian film productions😲. “I need to take responsibility for my half of it.” She said the experience would remain on her conscience and that she would ensure such a situation does not happen again👍🏻.
