Today, at the 24th ASP of the International Criminal Court, Director General Kaija Suvanto reiterated Finland’s strong commitment to support the #ICC and those cooperating with it and called on all states to preserve the Court’s integrity. #ASP24

Yesterday we hosted a high-level event, bringing together representatives from Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland, alongside Finnish space and defense technology leader ICEYE. The event highlighted the strength of Finnish innovation in the space and defense sectors.

Mediation has been an important part of Finland’s foreign and security policy for years. Sustainable peace requires negotiated settlements. We have a range of tools and mechanisms to support dialogue and confidence building. Let’s make use of them. #PeaceDay 🕊️

As the 109th session of the @OPCW Executive Council is underway in The Hague, diplomats from around the world stand united in support of Ukraine 🇺🇦 Finland strongly condemn Russia’s use of riot control agents as a method of warfare against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This floral wall, located in the courtyard of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, was created as a symbol of Finland’s continued support for Ukraine. It serves as a reminder of hope, solidarity, and resilience for the people of Ukraine. #StandWithUkraine

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act, Finland will organize a high-level conference at Finlandia Hall on 31 July 2025. The conference will highlight the role of civil society in advancing respect for OSCE principles and commitments. um.fi/osce25fi/helsinki-50
