$US100 has now rejected this resistance zone for the 3rd time. The more a level gets tested, the weaker it becomes. If buyers remain aggressive, a 4th test could be the one that finally breaks through and send price into new ATH territory. The fundamental backdrop is also supportive. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index ($SOX) recently pushed to fresh all-time highs, highlighting continued strength across the AI and semiconductor sector. Another key catalyst this week is Micron earnings. The stock is already up nearly 300% over the past year, driven by surging demand for AI infrastructure and data-center memory chips. If Micron delivers another strong quarter and raises guidance, it could provide additional fuel for both the semiconductor sector and the broader Nasdaq. From a TA perspective, I'm not chasing highs here. The imbalance has already been filled and price is currently sitting inside a solid demand zone around 30,000. Ideally, I'd like to see a bit more downside into the 29,800–29,600 grey box before looking for longs. That's my preferred area of interest, assuming we get confirmation. Below that sits another strong demand zone extending down toward 29,200. If we start slicing through these demand areas without a meaningful reaction, then 29,200 becomes my next major level to watch. Bullish while demand holds. The recent Bank of Japan rate hike has many traders convinced that the Yen should strengthen from here. The BOJ recently raised its policy rate by 25 basis points, from 0.75% to 1.00%, marking the highest interest rate in Japan in more than 30 years. On paper, higher rates should support the Yen. However, markets care about relative yields, not just rate hikes in isolation. Even after the BOJ's move, Japanese rates remain well below U.S. rates. The yield differential continues to favor capital flows into dollar-denominated assets, while concerns around Japan's fiscal outlook and persistent Yen weakness remain key themes. This is why I think many traders are making the mistake of blindly shorting USDJPY based solely on the rate-hike narrative. If you look at the weekly chart, the structure is exceptionally strong. Price has broken into fresh highs, is holding above major resistance-turned-support, and continues to trend within a well-defined bullish market structure. Could we see pullbacks? Absolutely. But until the higher-timeframe trend changes, I continue to view dips as opportunities rather than evidence of a major reversal. The chart, the yield differential, and the capital flows are all telling the same story. For now, I expect USDJPY to continue higher.
